St. A's Night at Big Apple Pizza is Tonight!
Tonight's the night! Enjoy a night out with the family while Celebrity Servers "serve" you dinner at Big Apple Pizza in Fort Pierce! Join Principal Kevin Hoeffner, Asst. Principal Karen Richmond and other school staff members and friends while they "take your orders" from 5-8 p.m. Big Apple Pizza is located at 2311 S. 35th Street across the street from Indian River State College. A portion of the proceeds for the night will benefit St. Anastasia Catholic School. There will be bounce houses for the kids! Your servers for the night include: Mrs. Christopher, Ms. Smith, Mrs. Mejia, Mrs. Noelke, Mrs. Dohrer, Mrs. Delaporte, Mrs. Cardoza, Mrs. Thoennissen and Mrs. Stapleton. Will your teacher be working overtime on Wednesday? Come and encourage them to keep their day jobs!

All School BBQ
| Thank you to everyone who helped or joined us for last week's All School BBQ! It was a huge success! We were able to raise $1,400 for our Athletic Department and everyone had a great time! We would especially like to thank the many volunteers we had...THANK YOU! Enjoy some of the photos from the day.

Thanksgiving Food Drive

This is it...only two more days left...please send in your food donations! The annual Thanksgiving Food drive, in partnership with St. Anastasia Catholic Church, is underway through Nov. 19. Each grade level is responsible for bringing in specific food items (see list below or click here to print out the list), however any and all donations are appreciated! We will need volunteers to help pack up the food baskets for distribution. If you are interested in helping, please call Darlene at the Parish Office at 461-2233.

5th Annual Christmas Tree & Wreath Sale
|
 St. Anastasia Catholic School and John Carroll High School present their 5th Annual Christmas Tree and Wreath Sale on Friday, December 3rd from 2-8 p.m. and Saturday, December 4th from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at the St. Anastasia Pavilion.
We are offering high-quality, freshly-cut Fraser fir trees and wreaths from North Carolina. The trees range in size from 5/6 feet ($50), 6/7 feet ($60), 7/8 feet ($70), 8/9 feet ($90) to 9/10 feet ($100). The Fraser fir wreaths are 24-inch, hand-decorated with bows and pinecones, and cost $40. Volunteer opportunities include:
- Registering to work a shift at www.SignUpGenius.com/go/christmas218/376641 and use password "Tree".
- Decorate wreaths: Wednesday, Dec. 1 from 3:30-7 p.m. or Thursday, Dec. 2 at 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Pavilion. Please contact Linette Trabulsy at ltrabulsy@stanna.org to volunteer for wreath decorating.

Veterans Day Celebration at St. Anastasia
| We were very honored to host more than 40 Veterans at our Veterans Day Ceremony last Thursday. The Veterans attended a special mass, listened to a star-spangled musical tribute in the courtyard and then enjoyed breakfast in the auditorium. They also received numerous letters and artwork from our students.

Pre-K Post

On Tuesday, November 23, the Pre-K children may wear blue jeans to school. They will change into their Native American T-shirts when they get to school. The students will participate in a parade around campus to sing Native American and Pilgrim songs.

Band News
| The St. Anastasia Catholic School Royal Ram Band has been very busy. They participated in two Veterans Day ceremonies: one on campus and the other in Downtown Fort Pierce.
 They also performed a special Halloween performance for the third and fourth-graders.  The Royal Ram Band recently played at the John Carroll Homecoming Football Game!  The Royal Ram Symphonic Band has quite a few important events coming up. Please join them to celebrate the holiday season on: - Wednesday, Dec. 1 at 11 a.m. at Sunrise Ford for the WPSL Christmas Kids program. Listen on the radio at 1590 AM if you can't be there!
- Thursday, Dec. 2 at 7 p.m. - Christmas Concert in the school auditorium.
- Sunday, Dec. 5 at 4:30 p.m. - Christmas Parade at Sights & Sounds Christmas Event, Downtown Fort Pierce.

- PTO is looking for four people (except parents of kindergarten and first grade students) to help with serving snacks after the Thanksgiving Prayer Service on Monday, Nov. 22 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the Parish Center. Please e-mail Ms. McCadden at mmccadden@stanna.org to sign up.
- PTO Santa's Christmas Corner is almost here! From Dec. 6-9, the Parish Center will be transformed into a magical winter wonderland full of gifts for every member of the family. We need volunteers! Please register to work by clicking here and using the password "Santa." You may also e-mail Mrs. Maria Fanizzi at maria@quailcreekplantation.com to sign up.
- Donations of gift bags, gift tag, scotch tape and shopping bags (for the gifts to come home in) are welcome. Please drop off any donations to the front office.
- Raffle tickets are being sold for a 5/6 ft. live, Fraser fir Christmas Tree that will be decorated in the "Garden of Eden" theme. Tickets are $5 each and can be purchased at the Christmas Tree & Wreath Sale on Dec. 3 and 4 as well as during the Santa's Christmas Corner on Dec. 6-9. The drawing will be on Dec. 9th.

Anastasia Attic News

Things are very busy at the "Attic." We have so many beautiful items! Please stop by and browse theshop. Christmas decorations are on sale now! We have seasonal items, as well as everyday things.
Remember that the shop's profits benefit our school.
We always need volunteers to sort, arrange and stock merchandise. If you are interested please call the shop at 467-1444. Bring a friend to help and have fun together.
We appreciate your donations. Our pick-up days for large items are Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Shop hours are:
Monday-Friday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
Saturday from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
Sunday from 11 a.m.-4 p.m.*
*Special note: All clothing and knick-knacks are 1/2 price on Sundays!

Middle School Youth Group News
| The Middle School Youth Group has been having a lot of fun. If you haven't had a chance to attend a meeting yet, the door is always open! We have a great night planned for Tuesday, December 7th from 6-8 p.m. All 6th through 8th graders are welcome to join us for a fun night entitled, "The Wise Guys," in celebration of our Lord, Jesus. Bring a friend! Please don't forget to bring in some donations (canned food, toys or clothes) so that we can deliver them to The Harvest Food and Outreach Center before Christmas.

| The Cub Scout Pack 473 participated in a camping adventure this past weekend. First grader Ethan Dingess brought "Take Home" bear with him camping. Little brother, Bryson (background), also enjoyed the festivities.
