Afternoon Pick Up
| To help the afternoon pick up line move faster, please make sure that you have a sheet of paper with your child's last name placed near the right side of the car's front window. We have an employee who will radio the child's name to the main building. This allows the student to be at the driveway area when your vehicle arrives there. Thank you for your cooperation!

Second Grade News
|
During the first week of school, Mrs.
Capezza's second grade students were given the assignment to fill a bag with
five items that represent themselves. They integrated the "Getting to Know You"
activity with their assigned Summer Reading book, "Nate the Great Goes
Undercover." Each detective hid in "Nate the Great's Hideout" while
another classmate emptied their personal items on the floor. The detective
used the clues to guess which classmate left the personal items on the floor. The
class also helped Mrs. Capezza follow a pancake recipe to integrate a math
lesson while reviewing the book. They had so much fun getting to know one
another and reviewing the summer reading assignment too! Second graders Abel Perez and Michael Vogt help Mrs. Capezza make pancakes in class while reviewing their required summer reading book, "Nate the Great Goes Undercover."

All School Mass
|
We celebrated our first All School Mass on Tuesday, August 24. The mass was hosted by the faculty and staff and they performed a skit before Fr. George's homily. The skit reminded everyone that Jesus is the cornerstone and foundation to our lives and He is who we should look to everyday. The entire student body promised to pray for our 8th grade students as they embark on their final year at St. Anastasia Catholic School.

During
the first week of school, the 7th and 8th grade students

Through the year, the "Angels" will mentor and guide the younger students
during liturgies and other school-wide events. Pictured below, the 7th Guardian Angels get to know the kindergarten students.

Prayer Tree
|
Have you noticed our "Prayer Tree" in our school office lobby? Please take this opportunity to request prayers for
relatives and friends who are in need by filling out a "Prayer Tree"
form in the lobby and giving it to the front office. We will hang an
"Angel" on our tree
with the name of the person you want us to pray for and the students and
faculty will keep these individuals in their prayers. Prayer intentions
are also mentioned on the daily "St. A Live." Additionally, we will send
a card to the person who we are praying for. If you are interested in
sending prayers to someone in your life, please contact Sister Helene
at 461-2232 or fill out a "Prayer Tree" form in the school's lobby.
