Newsletter Information
The St. Anastasia school e-newsletter is now in its second year. We welcome news and photos from you about your student. We try to make sure this newsletter is comprehensive yet concise with the information you need. Every newsletter is archived on our website for your reference.

We know that some students graduated from St. A's last year and we welcome those families to remain in our e-newsletter database. There are a few options, however, if you wish to unsubscribe from this newsletter. You can e-mail me at Ltrabulsy@stanna.org and I will delete your e-mail address or you can click on the "Safe Unsubscribe" link at the end of the newsletter. Again, we welcome you to remain on our mailing list to hear the good news about St. Anastasia Catholic School.

2010-11 Parent/Student Handbook
The 2010-11 Parent/Student Handbook is now available online at www.stanna.org. You will receive a copy when school begins, but feel free to take a look at it now.
Volunteer Opportunities
As you may know, each family is required to volunteer 20 hours during the school year. There are a couple of upcoming volunteer opportunities for you!
  • Bulletin board decorator - an individual who is willing to decorate our outdoor bulletin boards once per month (information and ideas provided).
  • Magazine Drive volunteers - prize day volunteers needed. This position requires you to be at school during lunch hours on specific days.
  • Auction Committee members - our annual Auction is earlier than usual this year. The event is scheduled for March 5, 2011 and we hope to make it bigger and better than ever! Volunteer opportunities include: sponsorships, gift acquisition, decorations and more.
Please contact Linette Trabulsy at Ltrabulsy@stanna.org for more information or to help.

We are so thankful for everything you do for St. Anastasia! We look forward to working with you this year. Thank you!

Van Duzer Foundation Fundraiser for the Irish Family
On Wednesday, August 11 from 4-10 p.m., Big Apple Pizza and the Van Duzer Foundation will host a fundraiser for Ben Irish. Ben, who is now 9-years-old, is the grandson one of our kindergarten aides, Mrs. Doris Zrallack.

At age 3, Ben began a two year battle with cancer and recently underwent open heart surgery to repair his coronary artery. Ben is recovering now, but his family has been devastated financially due to the exorbitant medical bills and associated costs. The Van Duzer Foundation is donating 100% of all the sales, tips and donations during the event.

Join Big Apple Pizza at 2311 South 35th Street in Fort Pierce on Wednesday, August 11 from 4-10 p.m. to celebrate with music, food and family fun. Wear your green and become part of Team Ben and the "Fighting Irish!"For more information, visit www.thevanduzerfoundation.org.

Last week we reported on Emily Noelke's donation of her hair for Wigs for Kids. We also need to congratulate 2nd grader Brooke Niemczyk who cut off 12 inches of her beautiful hair to donate to Locks of Love. She also earned a Girl Scout badge for the donation.
