KidsArt Fair!
St. Anastasia Catholic School Art Department and PTO is hosting our first ever KidsArt Fair event on Wednesday, April 14th from 7-9 p.m. at the Parish Center.

KidsArt Fair is partnering with our school to have each student create artwork for a special family event that recognizes young artists and their accomplishments. The mission is to build confidence and self-esteem by providing families with an opportunity to display their children's artwork in their homes.

There is no cost to our school. Students have been busy preparing their masterpieces during their art classes and the artwork will be displayed at the Art Fair for families who wish to attend. Frame packages may be purchased for $29.95 (+ tax). Our school receives a percentage of all sales to benefit our Art Department. For more information, visit www.kidsartfairs.com.

The PTO will also host their annual Ice Cream Social during this event! So plan on stopping by the Art Fair and Ice Cream Social for free ice cream, fun and fantastic artwork!

SPECIAL SCREENING: "SERVANT OF ALL" WEDNESDAY APRIL, 14, 2010

A new film produced by the Archbishop Fulton John Sheen Foundation in  Peoria, Illinois, tells the story of one of the greatest communicators of the 20th century, Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen. Sheen reached 30 million viewers a week with his Emmy Award winning television series, Life is Worth Living. Now, more than 50 years later, Archbishop Sheen is seen again in this new, hour-long documentary, Servant of All. The film tells the story of a farm boy, born and raised in Central Illinois, and his rise to fame as one of the most widely recognized Catholic leaders. Video clips, photographs, and personal testimony display Bishop Sheen in a new light, portraying the triumphs and struggles of this American icon.

The film has not yet been released to the general public, and is only available through private screenings. This screening is just one of hundreds of screenings in dioceses across the U.S. in a grassroots effort to share the life of Archbishop Sheen. You are invited to attend this event which will be one of the first of its kind in the United States. Priests, deacons, religious and all laity including parish and school leadership are encouraged to attend.

Date:  Wednesday April 14, 2010
Time:  7:00 p.m. (Light Reception To Follow)
Place: Cathedral of St. Ignatius Loyola, 9999 North Military Trail, Palm Beach Gardens.

Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen (1895-1979) is currently being considered for canonization to the Sainthood. His cause was opened in 2002 by Bishop Daniel R. Jenky, C.S.C., Bishop of the Diocese of Peoria, Illinois. Should Sheen be named a saint, he would be the first American-born Bishop and TV personality to be canonized. The Archbishop Fulton John Sheen foundation is the official promoter of the Cause. For more information contact [email protected] or 561-775-9529.
