Jeans Day for Haiti
St. Anastasia Catholic School will have a Jeans Day for Haiti on Monday, Jan. 25. To participate, students need to bring in a minimum donation of $2. Students may wear a shirt of their choice that follows the free dress day guidelines. (See the Parent/Student handbook on our website for further details on the guidelines). We are raising money for the Catholic Relief Services' emergency fund for victims of the tragic earthquake in Haiti. Catholic Relief Services is the official international humanitarian agency of the U.S. Catholic community. Lifesaving supplies from Catholic Relief Services are reaching desperate survivors in quake-shattered Port-au-Prince, Haiti. CRS is distributing food and water from its warehouses in the Haitian capital and the city of Les Cayes. Additional aid is on its way from CRS' supplies in the neighboring Dominican Republic. CRS has committed an emergency response of $25 million. Please be generous and join us for Jeans Day for Haiti on Monday, Jan. 25. Thank you! Church), in downtown Port au Prince, Haiti. Photo by Lane Hartill/CRS.

Jog-A-Thon
|
The annual Jog-A-Thon is almost here! We hope you saw the information
about the event that was sent home in last week's Thursday folder. (By the way, we had the incorrect date listed for the last turn in day...it is Thursday, Feb. 4th not Jan. 4th! Sorry!) The first official Turn In Day for pledges is Thursday, Jan. 21.
Students who turn in pledges (any amount) on Thursday will receive a
coupon for a free slice of pizza from Big Apple Pizza in Fort Pierce! We are very excited about this year's event as we have some new prizes such as coupons for free food from Presutti's Italian Subs, Panera Break, Big Apple Pizza and Tropical Smoothie! We thank our sponsors for helping to make this event a huge success! The Jog-A-Thon is Friday, February 5 and
will cap off Catholic Schools Week this year. We need everyone's
participation to make this event a success. Our school goal is $24,000
and if every student turns in at least $42 in pledges, we will make our
goal. We are in need of a few volunteers for the kindergarten
lap counting area and drink servers. Please call Jeanie Lattner at
461-2232 if you can
help. Thank you!
