Merry Christmas from St. Anastasia Catholic School
Thank you for the many blessings that you continue to share
with our school. Growing with your children is richly rewarding. I am so
thankful for our professional faculty, our hardworking administrative and
service staff and for the parents who volunteer to enrich our school with the
gift of their time.
The holidays are a joyful time of thanksgiving and
celebration. We come together with family and friends to renew our faith and
celebrate God's great love for humanity. This season, let us take a moment with
our family and reinforce our priorities.
Children, don't miss your chance to find Jesus during your
holiday. Jesus is very hard to find on T.V., in a video game or in the mall.
My experience is that Jesus can be easily found in quiet moments, in
conversations with friends and siblings and in the love you share with your
parents and grandparents. He can be found in your efforts, in your generosity
and in your joy. The greatest feeling that you will receive this Christmas will
not be from a present that you unwrap. The ultimate joy will be found in
sharing your love with God and with your family.
I hope that you will attend mass this Christmas to wish
Jesus a Happy Birthday, to thank Him for the many blessings that He has given
you and to offer Him the praise that He so justly deserves.
God bless you and Merry Christmas!
Sincerely, Mr. Hoeffner

This year, I am really trying to
"slow down" and enjoy the Advent and Christmas season. I am learning that when
you take time to do this, you can hear God so much easier! He speaks to us in
our everyday experiences...it's just hard to hear Him when you are rushing through
your day. I encourage you to do the same thing as me...take time to slow down and
listen for God. He will speak to you in the most unexpected places! He is so
good to us!
I hope you enjoy your time off with
your families and friends! I thank God every day for this school and community!
We are truly blessed for all that we have. Merry Christmas and may God bless
your 2010 with good health and happiness!
In God's Love,
Mrs. Richmond

Pre-K Open House & Pajama Day
|
Last Friday, the Pre-K classes hosted an Open House and celebrated Pajama Day! The children thoroughly enjoyed the visitors and all the excitement surrounding
Pajama Day. Nearly 25 new families visited the school during Open House. If you know of any new families that might be interested in taking a tour of St. Anastasia, please let the school office know.
Pajama Day was filled with fun
Christmas crafts, activities and snacks. The children also enjoyed Christmas
stories read by special guests including Father George, Mr. Hoeffner and Mrs. Richmond!

Don't forget to check out the Pre-K Post for all the news and information about Pre-K...and for a special Christmas Card from Pre-K! (Click on the Pre-K Christmas box on the left hand side of the page) Enjoy!

Welcome!
|
We welcome John Joseph Schildwachter, son of our 2nd grade teacher, Mrs. Linda Schildwachter, who was born on November 30 at 9:08 a.m. He weighed 8 pounds, 2 ounces!
According to Mrs. Schildwachter, the family is doing great adjusting to their new life! She says John is being really good so
far and she's even getting some sleep at night!
Says mom, "He is very quiet and content. He
gets lots of attention from his older siblings who love to hold him. He loves
to cuddle, lay on Justin's waterbed and look around. He is definitely a gracious gift from God (that's
what the name John means). I think his name suits him
perfectly."
Congratulations to the Schildwachter family!!
