Cub Scouts & Brownies...Making a Difference
|
The Cub Scouts and Brownie Troop from St. Anastasia Catholic School have been working very hard to make a difference in our community. Both groups recently participated in Community Service projects to provide food and other items to needy families in our area. Last weekend, Cub Scout Pack 473 collected nearly 2,000 lbs. of non-perishable food for Salvation Army and Mustard Seed Ministries!
The girls in the Brownie Troop worked together to
help a needy family in our community. The girls brought in food and toys and put
together boxes to send to the family. The girls decorated the boxes and a couple helped deliver the food and other items to the family. The family was so happy and excited with all the donations and were very touched by the lovely cards the girls made. |

Mrs. Paxton's Kindergarten Class
|
Mrs. Paxton's Kindergarten class recently had some fun with "little ladies!" Below, students Emani Terrusa,
Bridgette Leon, Carli Newman and Ethan Dingess hold their little old ladies
from the popular story and song, "There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed A
Fly." The students designed and created their "little ladies" after their
study of insects, bugs and spiders. They sequenced the animals from the
story as they sang the song and put each animal in the little old lady's
mouth.
