March with your Dog and Paws Pet Resort & Spa in the Apple Harvest Parade in Southington! Dogs get a free bandanna and their persons will receive a Paws t-shirt! To sign up, please call us at (203) 250-PAWS (7297).
When: Sunday, October 4th at 2 pm (Rain Date: Sunday, May 31st)
Start: Summer Street, Southington (Look for the Paws Float!)

Paws Open House Event! 
October 10th, 10 am - 4 pm You are invited to our 3rd Annual Open House Event at Paws.
Live Band - Games & Prizes for dogs, kids and adults
Events, contests and activities will be scheduled
throughout the day.
Grooming demos
State Police dog demonstration
Food & Refresments will be provided through Labs4Rescue
Friends of Feral Cheshire Cats will be face painting (cats faces of course!)
Rick Arruzza, author of the Sparky children's books will be having a Coloring contest
Soul Friends, "healing the hearts of children one wagging tail at a time" will have a booth
Wayne from Tick-key will be there to discuss tick-borne illnesses in dogs
Blessing of the Pets Ceremony by Father Bob
Contests for the Best Kisser, Best Lap Dog, Dog/Owner lookalike, Most Handsome/Glamorous, etc.
Smartydog training Demonstrations and much more!
There will be many other vendors and not-for-profits at the open house as well!
A schedule of events and activities will be posted on the web site and emailed to our customers.
All are welcome! Help us spread the word!
All proceeds generated from the event will go to pet related charities in the area.

This is our second year the the CT Pet Show. This is a very busy fun show with lots of vendors and activities for people and their dogs. They have an entertainment schedule that includes many various activities and events from doggie fasion shows to an air dog diving competition. The picture belowis from our booth at the CT Pet Show in 2008.

This was our first year at the Dog Days of Oxford Show. It was fantastic! Mark your calendars for next year. This is a dog lovers must see! They had dog related activities all day long. Lorna's Westie puppies Tinker (12 weeks) and Bella (3 months) were a huge hit as were her custom made Paws bandannas that were handed out at our booth! Paws is committed to staying on the cutting edge of the latest grooming trends and techniques as well as supporting the continued education and training of their staff. Two of their groomers, Sue & Lorna, spent four busy days at the Groom Expo where they attended educational seminars, learned the latest grooming tips, tricks and techniques; and spoke with numerous vendors regarding new product releases.
