Fried Goat Cheese Salad
Ingredients
Dressing:
To keep it simple buy your favorite dressing,I suggest a vinaigrette
Goat Cheese
Cut cheese in 3/4 inch circles flatten to 1/2 inch,pat in flower and dip in butter milk,pat in panko "Japanese" bread crumbs w/chopped almonds. Salad:
8 cups baby spinach leaves, stems trimmed, washed, and
dried
1/2 cup whole toasted walnuts & sun dried cranberry's Directions
In a small bowl, combine all but a large handful of the spinach in a large bowl. Toss with most of the dressing. Add remaining spinach and continue tossing until well coated.Fry cheese in skillet or fry daddy for 1 or 2 min,or till lightly brown
Serve immediately topped with your favorite toppings,cro�ton, fruit onions and so on. |

How it works
Building Work Experience
Through the dozens of employer relationships they maintain with many of the world's industry-leading companies, The work experience programs provide the opportunity for students to apply the knowledge they gain in the classroom to real life industry settings. This involves a supervised 11-week on-the-job learning experience related to their major that provides them with ongoing evaluation and feedback by supervisors while building a resume.
Work experience programs include:
Cooperative Education (co-op): A work experience program for academic credit which is related to the major and/or area of professional interest. Options also exist to participate in co-op abroad.
Internship: Real-life work situation at a university-owned or operated facility for culinary, baking & pastry, food service management and hotel management majors. Some students may be chosen to participate in off campus extern ships at one of the nearby restaurants or city hotels. Amanda will be working closely with Denise and Louise to get the hands on experience that it takes to make delicious dishes in the bakery. |
Cooking Classes
Great news! We have had a lot of response to the cooking classes. We will not have the classes up and running until April. These classes, however, will be very kitchen friendly. You will be able to use ingredients right out of your pantry without having to run to a specialty store. We will also have cooking classes available on line. These will be step by step instructions that will be extremely easy for you to follow. | |
