Last month Araz Inguilizian, professional photographer and founder of PhotoPrima Studio,
partnered with Vineyard Community Offerings (VCO) to offer Help-Portrait, an evening of free, professional photos for local community members. The evening was a great success with 13 families stopping by to get their portraits taken - just in time for the holidays. Araz took some time to share his experiences with us, and how he found a space through VCO to share his gifts and talents with the community in a unique way.

As a photographer, what do you love most about what you do?
I created PhotoPrima Studio because I take pleasure in capturing the unique inner-beauty found in people. My job is to bring out that brilliance and preserve it for eternity. Photography is such a dynamic medium - no two moments are ever the same. PhotoPrima Studio's mission is to bring all the elements together in order to make that moment last forever.
What inspired you to partner with Vineyard Community Offerings for this portrait evening?
We heard of all the good work Vineyard Community Offerings does; how they aid the community and touch people's lives. We wanted to be a part of a vision that not only assists people at the community level but also joins in with thousands of photographers around the world. Help-Portrait provided the venue to bring our vision to reality.
What did you enjoy most about the evening?
The Help-Portrait evening was phenomenal in two ways. Firstly, all the hard work the volunteers put in made the experience truly worthwhile - thanks to Cara, Kevin, Jess, Molly, Stephanie, and Scott. Secondly, the bright expression on our clients' faces when they saw the results was the icing on the cake for me.
How did this experience impact those who participated in Help- Portrait?
The clients were totally thrilled and it was such a delight to offer our services to them during the Christmas Season. It was truly a rewarding experience for all involved. |

Lead Partner Dinner
On December 4, VCO hosted its second annual lead partner dinner, an evening to honor VCO lead partners for their ongoing financial contributions and support. The evening was filled with delicious food provided by very talented chefs in our church, and an opportunity to talk with staff about recent VCO updates and events.
Lead partners donate $2,400 or more to VCO in a single calendar year. As VCO is funded solely through financial contributions outside the church budget, we are greatly appreciative for the continued partnership and support of our lead partners.
