Vineyard Community Offerings Fall Kick-Off - Heading Your Way!

Soccer Header_SeptemberThe first three weeks in October mark our annual Vineyard Community Offerings (VCO) fall kick-off, our invitation to you to volunteer and financially contribute to the work of changing lives and building community in our City. Staff and volunteers will be available to answer questions, and we'll be displaying a photo collection from our various programs and premiering the...wait for it...VCO fall kick-off video!

In a recent survey VCO volunteers stated they have more joy in life, have made new friendships and are experiencing God through these volunteer experiences. So what are you waiting for? VCO is a fun way to get more involved in the community. Whatever your gifts and passions, you'll find a place where you'll meet new friends and have fun.

It's going to be another exciting year and we look forward to our journey together in this communitywide adventure!

VCO Fall Kick-Off "The 411"
The kick-off is an invitation for you to get involved in VCO in three specific ways:

1) Volunteer
2) Contribute financially (VCO is supported by individual donations outside the church budget)
3) Sign up for the Volunteer Welcome Event on Saturday, October 31 from 9 a.m. - noon

You can also help by telling your friends all about your experiences with VCO!

Meet VCO Volunteer Ken Weldon!
Many of you know Ken, an avid and enthusiastic volunteer here at the Vineyard. Ken started attending the Greater Boston Vineyard two years ago and immediately dove into a variety of church programs such as Soccer Nights and the Harvest Food Pantry. Recently, Ken graciously took a moment out of his busy schedule to talk more about his volunteer experiences with VCO. Thanks, Ken!

Ken Weldon_SeptemberWhy did you decide to volunteer with Soccer Nights and the Harvest Food Pantry?
I decided to volunteer to help other people, get to know others and to serve God.

What have you learned about yourself from these volunteer experiences?
I didn't realize I could make the impact I have made. Don't set your own limits. God will set them for you in everything you experience in life.

What new passions or gifts have you discovered as a result of volunteering?
I discovered how to open up my heart as a volunteer. I've also experienced more community in these VCO programs, getting out serving God more and more.

What's one thing people might not know about you?
The perseverance and drive I have in myself.
