NEW W+D 320 - perfect small order machine |

As run lengths have gotten shorter, the requirement for faster turn around has now become the new reality in envelope converting. Sensing this shift in production demands, W+D engineering has developed the 320 which is a blank fed machine with a 350 EPM capability. Its small footprint, ease of operation as well as quicker changeover capabilities have made this one of W+D's hottest models worldwide. A reasonably equipped 320 starts around $600,000 installed.
By the end of 2008, five 320's were already in operation in the US.

The 320 is capable of a wide range of envelope products:
- Envelopes in booklet and wallet style with inside side flaps
- Envelopes in diamond and commercial shape
- Pockets with center or side seam gumming
- Single or multiple windows

- Seal flaps with remoistenable and self-seal gum application
- Hot melt pressure-sensitive gumming

NEW 320RE web model will debut in 2010 |
|
Based on the initial success of the 320 blank fed model, W+D has announced plans to have a web version of the 320 running at the IPEX Show in Birmingham, England, May 2010. This machine will be available for demonstration at W+D Neuwied late in 2009. The 320RE is rated at 400EPM and will have pre-print register cut off control capabilites.

NEW stimulus tax deduction for your 320 |
The final stimulus package extends the 2008 Code Sec. 179 expensing amounts to 2009. The 2008 Sec. 179 maximum expense is $250,000 and the phase-out ceiling on the cost of qualified property placed in service is $800,000. Any amount in excess of the phase-out will reduce the maximum $250,000 deduction, dollar for dollar. The deduction would be available on both the new or used property that is acquired in 2009. Be sure to check with your tax advisor on the latest changes.
The 320 price starts around $600,000 installed ready for production. A fully loaded 320 model is priced in the $800,000 range, making the 320 the perfect machine for your stimulus deduction. | |
