Another great week of learning and business tours! The students are working on ideas for the class name and logo, as well as working on details for the Coles Connected Leadership Breakfast (details to be announced). Feel free to join us any morning at 7:30 a.m.

Adams Memorials Tour

Carol and Wendall were perfect hosts and showed us their monument, countertop and paving business. They are great role models that work as a team. They taught the students that by working hard and making sacrifices in the beginning of your business, it will pay off in spades as it grows.

Many thanks to Dr. Aldo Ruffalo for opening his doors and allowing us to tour one of his Centers. He discussed how important networking and being ready to sell yourself at a moment's notice can open doors. This, combined with staying current in medical trends has helped him successfully grow his business.

Patty spoke to us about the importance of a company's brand and logo in order to build brand recognition and create a unique and meaningful image for the business.

Brainstorming Ideas

Students learned the brainstorming process to generate ideas for the class name change. We filled the whiteboard with ideas, circled overarching themes, looked up alternate words, and checked name availability on the Illinois Secretary of State website.
