Girl Scouts of the USA has joined the national cybersecurity awareness campaign, STOP. THINK. CONNECT., in an effort to raise awareness about the importance of online safety.

The Stop.Think.Connect. campaign is a national public awareness effort among government, industry and non-profits designed to guide the nation to a higher level of Internet security by educating and empowering the American public to be more vigilant about practicing safe online habits.

While the Internet is a great place to learn and play, kids -- and particularly young women -- can easily become victims of cyber bullies, cyber predators and other online criminals if they do not first stop, then think about what they are doing and finally connect over the Internet in a careful way.
