Have you accessed your online toolkit yet?!

Toolkit During the last week of April, GSUSA sent emails to all Daisy, Brownie and Junior volunteers inviting them to enter for a chance to win Girl Scout merchandise for their troop to use in the year ahead and take a tour of the National Program Portfolio.

Once in the website, volunteers will be able to customize and share communications to the Girl Scout community using e-tools, as well as access additional online tools and resources.

Didn't get your email? Enter here for your chance to win and access the tools and resources!

Give them a chance to share their voice!

Please forward this message along to your Girl Scouts to share their experiences. Survey results will help us understand how Girl Scouting is benefiting girls. Their input will tell us how we can make their experiences even better. That means that their answers are very important to the success of Girl Scouting.

To complete the surveys, simply click the link below or copy and paste the link into your web browser to take the survey or visit the Girl Scout website.

There are two types of surveys, pre and post. Pre surveys are initial feelings of Girl Scouts and Girl Scouting. Post survey results are compared to pre surveys to research if Girl Scouting programs and activities have benefited the girls. All answers are kept confidential!

Before taking any of the following surveys, to ensure that GSSWT is able to accurately include your survey information, please visit Girl Scout Voices first.

Parkway progress and construction updates

Construction on the Wurzbach Parkway extension continues to progress, affecting traffic flow to and from the Sally Cheever Girl Scout Leadership Center.

Lane closure on U.S. Highway 281 between San Pedro and Nakoma

On Saturday, May 19 from 7:00-9:00 a.m.. crews will close the left lane in each direction on U.S. 281 to repair barriers near Rhapsody. The closure is minimal and should be cleared up within an hour. No detours are required for this closure. Expect delays.

Blanco Road at Wurzbach Parkway
During 7:00 p.m.-5:00 a.m. from Sunday, May 20 to Monday, May 21,
alternating lanes of Blanco Road will be closed at the intersection of Wurzbach Parkway while crews pour the concrete deck of the Blanco Road overpass bridge. Traffic will be diverted in phases away from overhead concrete operations. No detour is necessary. No detours are required for this closure. Expect delays.

West Ave at Wurzbach Parkway

Non-stop closure through October

West Avenue, between Walker Ranch Park and Indian Hollow Apartments, will be closed for approximately six months while crews rebuild West Avenue. This will be a complete closure and no traffic will be allowed through the construction zone. North-bound traffic will be routed to Nokoma to U.S. 281 frontage roads to Bitters and onto West Avenue. South-bound traffic will turn left on Interpark, right onto the U.S. 281 frontage road and right on Nokoma, then reach West Avenue.

Starcrest Rd from Budding Blvd to Wetmore Ave

Non-stop closure through August

The east-bound lanes of Starcrest are closed for work relative to the Wurzbach Parkway project. All traffic has been diverted to the west-bound lanes, limiting Starcrest to a single lane in each direction. No left turns are permitted along this road. This closure has been extended.

Girl Scouts Do Great Things!
Girl Scout Cadette Salma Jones began an anti-bullying campaign in her school in Del Rio when her 10-year-old friend told her she was being bullied and didn't know how to make it stop. Salma is taking a stand and changing lives with her Girl Scout Silver Award project. See the video below. We are so proud of you Salma!
