What's New in Adult Development?
Girl Scouting 101, a 45-minute self-paced online orientation to Girl Scouting, will be available to new and existing volunteers beginning October 1.

Girl Scouting 101 (GS 101) replaces the existing three online sessions. This new training is intended for all volunteers, no matter which pathway they enter. GS 101 covers not only the basics of Girl Scouting, but the next steps for our volunteers to go through. These steps include:
  • About Girl Scouts
  • Ways to Participate
  • What Girl Scouts Do
  • the Mission, Promise and Law
  • Girl Scout Cookies
  • Staying Safe
  • Ages and Stages: What Girl Scouts Are Like, and
  • What's Next

Who Should Take GS 101?

All new volunteers are required to take GS 101 and existing volunteers are encouraged to take it to understand the latest on the new national program resources and safety-activity checkpoints.

GS 101 not only has the most up-to-date material for volunteers, but it flows better with the adult Journey guide and Girl's Guide to Girl Scouting. To access this new and exciting feature, click here (password: GS101).
