Suzanne GoudgeFor more than 20 years, Girl Scouts has selected an outstanding woman and dedicated community leader who embodies the beliefs and principles of the Girl Scout Movement and has presented her with the Trefoil Award. On Thursday, September 22, 2011, Girl Scouts of Southwest Texas will honor Suzanne Goudge, who is a role model for tomorrow's leaders and has made significant contributions to the quality of life in the community and to society as a whole.

Suzanne Cheever Goudge is a long time Girl Scout and community volunteer. Suzanne's Girl Scout involvement started at a young age when her mother led her troop, and has continued in various capacities, including leading her daughters' troops starting in 1980 through 2008. She has also volunteered in various leadership roles for Girl Scouts of Southwest Texas.

Her service within the community has also included the United Way, Alamo Heights Independent School District, the Junior League of San Antonio, San Antonio Zoo, Sunshine Cottage School for the Deaf, St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church, and KLRN. Her work within each organization not only spans years of service, but also includes various leadership positions.

In Suzanne's professional career at Broadway Bank she has held numerous positions in finance, bank investments and trusts. She currently serves on its Board of Directors as well as other committees.

Suzanne and her husband, Jimmy, have four grown children: Sara Brouillard and her husband Jeff; Carrie Dyer and her husband Nick; Cy Goudge and Kate Goudge. Suzanne is the daughter of Charlie and the late Sally Cheever, who received the Trefoil Award in 1994.
