Full scholarships for GSLI now available for a limited time

On November 10-13, 2011, more than 1,200 girls from across the nation will gather in Houston, Texas for the 2011 National Girl Scout Leadership Institute (GSLI): Leadership and Innovation...the Next 100 Years.

GSLI is offered to currently registered Girl Scouts 13 and older as an integrated track within the national convention. GSLI will begin on Thursday morning and culminate on Sunday morning; activities include national convention opening ceremony Thursday evening, as well as other scheduled events. When scheduling permits, girl delegates are welcome to attend additional GSLI activities.

GSLI includes access to all dedicated GSLI sessions and celebration sessions -- sessions are workshop-based and run from approximately 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily.

Limited full scholarships, based on qualification and need, are now available. Scholarship includes program cost, transportation, lodging, and meals.

If chosen, girls will leave San Antonio the afternoon of Wednesday, November 9 and return the evening of Sunday, November 13. Girls will participate in all designated group activities, travel to and from Houston together, and stay in the same hotel as the delegates.

Scholarship applications are due no later than 5:00 p.m., Monday, August 15. Girls will be notified Tuesday, August 16.
