Graduating high school seniors and their families are invited to attend a special bridging ceremony hosted by the Order of the Silver Trefoil on Sunday, April 10 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. See complete details here.

Texas State Gold Award Scholarship due April 29  

All graduating Girl Scout Gold Award recipients who meet the specified requirements are encouraged to apply for the Statewide Gold Award 2011 Scholarship. Application deadline is Friday, April 29.

 

Please be advised that all applications require a GSSWT staff approval signature from Dawn Williams, Director of Girl Leadership Experience, prior to the April 29 submission deadline to the Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council. Please plan accordingly in order to obtain all the required information as incomplete applications will not be accepted for consideration.


Presidential Service Award Hours Log due May 1
Service hours logs for all levels of the Presidential Service Awards are due Monday, May 1 to Dawn Williams. Presidential Service Award,
Gold Level (250+ hours) recipients will be recognized at Celebration 2011 on Sunday, May 22.

Celebrations 2011 Award Ceremony will be held May 22
All girls who earn the Girl Scout Silver Award, Girl Scout Gold Award, Presidential Volunteer Service Award Gold Level (250+ hours), and scholarship recipients are invited to the award ceremony, Celebrations 2011, to be held Sunday, May 22, 2011. Invitations to eligible recipients will be sent by the end of April.

Statewide Girl Scout Gold Award Ceremony will be held June 13
Mark your calendar to head to Austin on Monday, June 13 for the Girl Scout Gold Award ceremony for all Texas councils. Invitations will be mailed from the host council in May.

Community Service Opportunity 

Girl Scouts in seventh grade and above are needed to volunteer for National Down's Syndrome Congress (NDSC) Kid's Camp Convention Friday, August 5 through Sunday, August 7.

 

Girl Scouts who have completed Program Aide Core Training (look for additional dates to be added to the online program calendar) or the Red Cross Certified Babysitting course are encouraged to participate.
