CPS Energy's Go Green Contest!

GoGreenCPS Energy invites Girl Scouts to take part in its Go Green Video Contest. Just tell them your energy-efficiency story and take your shot at winning a free iPad as well as four tickets to CPS Energy's Go Green Night at the San Antonio Spurs game on April 6 versus the Sacramento Kings. All you have to do is grab a camera, share your story on video and post it to YouTube. Get all the contest details here! Hurry, the submission deadline is March 15!

Once CPS Energy posts your video on its Go Green Contest channel, you'll automatically be enrolled in the contest. Viewers will vote on the videos by clicking "Like" next to their favorite video. The three videos with the most "Likes" will go before a panel of judges that will choose the winner. It's easy, so pick up that video camera or smart phone and tell CPS Energy your story!

Call to Action for ALL Girl Scouts

SA2020The City of San Antonio has embarked on a lengthy process to develop a strategic plan for the community. SA
 2020
is a four-to six-month community-wide visioning process that launched in September 2010. The final report will be officially released for public review and comment on Saturday, March 19 from 11:00 a.m. to noon at UTSA's downtown campus. GSSWT and CEO, Anna Maria Chávez (aka Eagle1) would love to have a TON of Girl Scouts present in uniform for this historic event.

Please consider gathering your troops and/or other Girl Scout families to attend this event to show the community that the leadership skills girl's develop through participation in Girl Scouts is essential to the continued prosperity of our community.

Learn more about SA 2020 and RSVP for the event on March 19 here. FREE BBQ lunch to follow!
