Do you have your copy of the "In the Kitchen with Fustini's" cookbook? It would also make a terrific Father's Day gift. the cookbook features 66 recipes that incorporate dozens of Fustini's flavorful extra virgin olive oils and balsamic vinegars. The recipes, ranging from appetizers and salads to desserts, were developed by Fustini's Michigan restaurant and catering partners as well as Fustini's staff. Dad's Day Ideas       


Treat dad to something delicious on Father's Day! Here are some ideas he'll love:

* Marinate salmon, tuna, shrimp, scallops, chicken, stir fry, salad or coleslaw dressing with Pers
ian Lime EVOO and Ginger Honey balsamic
* Try Espresso Bean balsamic and Garl
ic EVOO as a meat marinate
* Use Lemongrass Mint balsamic and
Gremolata EVOO as a marinade for chicken, fish, salad dressing, sliced cucumbers or to flavor rice
* Marinate grilled chicken, salmon, pork tenderloin, ribs, roasting sweet potatoes or salad dressing with Persian Lime EVOO and Cinnamon Pear
12-Year Traditional Dark balsamic
* Mango balsamic and Chipotle EVOO are great as a chicken kabob marinade
* Marinate beef with Serrano Honey vinegar and Tunisian Harissa EVOO
* Persian Lime EVOO and Apricot balsamic tastes wonderful on grilled fish 
* Glaze lamb with Lemongrass Mint balsamic
* Use the Serrano Honey vinegar to marinate chicken before grilling
* Brush Mango or Coconut balsamic on pineapple kabobs and grill
* Marinate shrimp in Persian Lime EVOO before grilling. Then combine Chipotle EVOO and Golden Pineapple balsamic and pour over colorful pasta (many pasta options in our stores). Add shrimp, fresh pineapple and fresh cilantro to pasta. Serve cold.

The Thirst Quenching Fus'tini'

Try this great summertime refresher!
Ingredients
1 pretty glass
Ice
6 oz. sparkling water (mineral water or club soda)
1/2 oz. Fustini's balsamic of your choice (favorites include Grapefruit, Peach, Golden Pineapple, Cranberry and Apricot)
 
Directions
Add ice, balsamic and sparkling soda to the glass, enjoy!
For an "adult beverage" add 1/2 to 1 oz. of vodka.

Happenings

Here are just a few events planned in and around our stores in Traverse City, Petoskey, Holland & Ann Arbor: 

The Sara Hardy Farmers' Market takes place every Saturday and Wednesday now through September from 7 am-noon in downtown Traverse City.

The Annual Historic Festival and Taste of the North will take place in Petoskey on June 16 from 10 am-3 pm at the Bayfront Park. Enjoy family activities, music, entertainment and wonderful food. Click here for more information.
 
On June 20 from 6-9 pm the Great Lakes Chamber Orchestra will hold Crescendo, a tasting event and silent auction, at Nubs Nob in Harbor Springs. More information is available here.
 
The waterfront in downtown Harbor Springs will be the setting for the Annual Waterfront Wine Festival on June 23 from 4-7pm. For more information or to order tickets, click here.
