Knowing Pains: Women on Love, Sex and Work in Our 40s
February 27, 2009
The Word is Spreading from Coast to Coast!

We have been sharing our story from New York to Portland and San Francisco since the start of 2009.

With Host of Today Show
Highlights include a feature on the Today Show with Molly, Amy Smith and Cari Shane Parven.  We had a fabulous time, and found our online sales double in the two weeks after the show aired!  The host called Knowing Pains, "an incredible collection about women taking charge."

AM Northwest Show
Another highlight was our Portland  writers' sharing their stories on ABC's AM Northwest last week, talking about thriving in marriage, pursuing a passion and deciding on the age-old question: "to dye, or not to dye?"

Molly RosenBreast Cancer Action Executive Director, Barbara Brenner, joined us for a reading at Books Inc. in San Francisco to share more about her organization and her appreciation for our support.  She announced a big win from their "Think Before You Pink" campaign, in which they successfully lobbied General Mills to take the cancer-linked synthetic growth hormone, rGBH, out of
Yoplait yogurt.

The staggering rate of breast cancer among women in this country (1 out of every 8 of us, up from 1 in 20 in 1960) is linked to cancer-BCA Logocausing agents that have crept into our everyday food and environment.  Thank you, BCA, for the work you and other groups are doing to help protect us.
