Join us in Building the Next Generation at GFC
Scripture tells us to "tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, His power, and the wonders He has done." Psalm 78:4. Kids and students are important at GFC. That is why we have ministries such as Kids' Horizons for our infants through 4th graders, Vertical for our 5th-6th graders and Epic for our 7th-12th graders. Please read the article below to hear how two individuals here at GFC are serving in these ministries to reach the next generation. Read More.
Vertical Summer Connection
Come hang out with your Vertical friends during summer break! On June 12th and July 17th, 5th and 6th graders will meet upstairs in the Vertical café during the 10:45 for donuts, games, worship and service opportunities.
On June 12th, come early for donuts and fellowship. We will be working together to assemble hygiene kits to send to Mountain View Elementary. Please bring a new toothbrush, tube of toothpaste, shampoo, deodorant to go into these kits. You can bring all or one of those items.
On July 17th, the Epic band will be with us for worship. Our service project for that day will be to bring in school supplies. We will sort and collect school supplies that will be packaged by the pre-school children on Echo Sunday!
August 7th, we will welcome all 5th, 6th and 7th graders along with their families to worship in Vertical. For 5th grade, it will be their first Vertical experience. During this service, we will commission our 7th graders to Epic and they will end this time with an Epic informational meeting.
JUMP!
This summer we've diverted from the norm, and your elementary students are going to JUMP into the middle of Paul's journey and watch the story of his radical faith unfold! From the moment his faith was sparked by the light on the Road to Damascus to shipwrecks, jailbreaks, and courtroom drama, your kids will have a front row seat to Paul's story of faith - a never-ending adventure. Here's what the summer line up looks like:
June 12: Paul & Silas (Acts 16:16-34), It's not about me. It's what God wants to do in the world around me.
June 19: Mars Hill (Acts 17:16-34), Jesus rose again so that you would know He is God.
June 26: King Agrippa (Acts 25:23-26:32), I can tell others about God by what I say and do.
July 3: The Shipwreck at Malta (Acts 27:27-44; 28:1-10), You can trust God to be there when bad things happen.
July 10: Paul & Timothy (2 Timothy 3:14-17), The Bible is like no other book. It's the Word of God.
July 17: Wrap-up of Paul's journey, What's the next jump for you?
Put that faith in motion!

Grace Womenar Coming August 27, 2011
This is a first....but for a very good reason! Have you as a woman (whatever your age or season of life) felt somewhat unsure of what God was wanting you to be and do? If so, you are not alone! This year in women's ministry we want to find some answers to the questions, "What is unique about being a woman follower of Jesus?" and "How is it different than the way men respond as disciples?"
