Disney on Ice Scout Night
Join Mickey and Minnie on their Magical Journey! Friday, February 24, is Scout Night. The show starts at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are only $12, plus you receive a free commemorative patch! Be sure to stay for the 20- minute post-show clinic where you'll get a "Behind the Scenes" look from your seat on how Disney magic is created.

In case you missed it Tuesday, Girl Scouts of the USA launched a new leadership initiative to empower the next generation of young women titled: ToGetHereThere.
The campaign, which coincides with the 100-year anniversary and declaration of The Year of the Girl, kicked off with a panel discussion featuring female leaders from various industries and backgrounds. Watch a replay of this inspirational discussion here. |

Gold Award Information
Spirit of Nebraska Gold Award interviews will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2012 (3rd Saturday of the month). Please note that anyone wanting to submit Gold Award proposals using the former requirements will need to submit their paperwork by March 15 of this year AND have their interviews scheduled on or before April 14, 2012.

Join us for a World Thinking Day event in Omaha in the morning OR in the afternoon, OR in Kearney. World Thinking Day not only gives girls a chance to celebrate international friendships, but is a reminder that Girl Scouts of the USA is part of a global community.

Legislative Day Invitation Cadettes through Ambassadors, bring your parents or leaders to Legislative Day on Tuesday, March 13 at the State Capitol in Lincoln. Meet with elected officials, witness the Governor signing an official "Year of the Girl" Girl Scout proclamation, tour the Governor's Mansion and enjoy lunch with First Lady Sally Ganem. They attend the annual meeting, vote on amendments to the council bylaws, elect the council board, and elect national delegates and alternate delegates to the national council. |
Camp Master PlanWe are seeking volunteers interested in participating on a board of directors task force working on a Camp Master Plan for Girl Scouts Spirit of Nebraska. This group, who will work with the task force to investigate how to best utilize our camp properties in the coming years, will be formed over the next 30 days.
