Greetings!

In celebration of our 100th anniversary and our enduring commitment to girls, Girl Scouts has declared 2012 the Year of the Girl--and we're about to do something big!

Join us on January 31 as we launch TogetherThere, calling on all members of society to help girls reach their full leadership potential. Because when girls succeed, so does society. All of us have a role to play in making that happen. Together, we will get her there.

Girls, Start Your
Cookie Engines!

The 2012 Cookie Program is ALL NEW and begins NEXT WEEK!  Girls will have cookies IN HAND throughout the program, January 13 through February 26, 2012.  Troops and girls have increased ability to customize the program to fit their needs. Girls can still use their order cards and will now have the ability to fill orders and deliver within days. Girls also learn valuable business skills: Goal Setting, Decision Making, Money Management, People Skills and Business Ethics; all while earning funds for their troop and fabulous recognition items for themselves!

Many troops have received their initial orders, but remember, there are cookies available at Cookie Cupboards across the state!  Check with your troop leader or troop cookie manager if you need cookies! Go here for more information.

This January we are holding Leader Meetings and you are invited. Leader Meetings are a great way to stay connected to what is happening in Girl Scouting. You will acquire the information and tools necessary for an enriching Girl Scout experience, and we get to meet with you face-to-face to answer questions so that we can be a valuable resource. Leaders, co-leaders and all registered volunteers are encouraged to attend. Here is a sneak peek at some of the topics to be discussed in January:
  • 100th Anniversary Activities and Events
  • World Thinking Day
  • Bridging Ceremonies
  • Delegate Nomination Process
Please click here  to register for the Leader Meeting in your area or call your nearest Girl Scout service center.
