Greetings Girl Scouts!
Greetings!
As we prepare this e-newsletter, we are also putting the final touches on the next program book and our very first statewide newsletter The Juliette Gazette. Look for both of those publications coming in the next few weeks. We know what a busy time of year this is and appreciate all you do to keep up with the Girl Scout(s) in your life. It is certainly our hope that this e-mail correspondence serves as a resource for you and that you can participate in a few of the special offers and program activities provided by our community supporters and Girl Scouts Spirit of Nebraska.

artVenture 2009
artVenture is an annual art auction fundraiser for Girl Scouts. One of the unique features of artVenture is the artist-Girl Scout collaborative workshops. Talented artists specializing in a variety of mediums (oil painting, printmaking, glass blowing, sculpture and much, much more) work with Girl Scout artists to create beautiful pieces of art for the auction.
Youth artist applications are available on our website, www.girlscoutsnebraska.org or by contacting Lori Williamson at 558-8189 ext. 239 or lwilliamson@girlscoutsnebraska.org. Girls can identify their top three medium choices on the application and we will try to place them in one of their choices. Completing the application does not guarantee placement in an artVenture collaboration. Girls will be notified during December about their collaboration matches.
The collaboration workshops will occur during January and February and are open to ALL girls throughout the state, as long as you can attend the workshops where the artistic collaborations are being held. All girl artists and their families will be invited to our opening night reception and open house on Friday, March 6. The artVenture auction is adults-only and is held on Friday, March 20 at the Hot Shops Art Center in Omaha.
