Experience Winter in New England

|
BSML Celebrates the Holidays
December is one of the happiest times at
BSML. The weather in Boston is crisp and wintery, but it is warm and cozy
inside the school. Our beautifully decorated tree in the lobby welcomes
students and visitors as does the seasonal menu served in the BSML Cafe.
Once again this year, the students participated
in the "Secret Santa" gift exchange and enjoyed the special musical
program arranged by teacher George Hungerford and performed by the students and
staff. In addition to traditional Christmas songs, we also heard a
variety of music from Germany, Latin America and England.
Santa Claus made a surprise appearance at the
graduation and distributed gifts. Students had their picture taken with
Santa.
Although everyone does not celebrate Christmas,
the spirit of "Peace on Earth, Good Will to Men" pervades our
halls. At BSML, people from all
over the world come together to learn a common language. In that process, the students share
their values, hopes, dreams and culture.
Each student leaves with a greater appreciation and understanding of the
world we live in and hopefully will work to make it a better one. It is this quality that makes BSML a
special place.
Everyone at BSML wishes each of you a very happy
holiday season and best wishes for a wonderful New Year.

Read What Students Say About BSML
It has been my pleasure to study English at BSML.
The teachers and staff are very friendly and helpful. The courses are well
structured compared to other languages schools which I have attended
before.
Thank you to everyone at BSML. I've had a great
time in Boston and I'd definitely recommend your school to students who would
like to study English.

I appreciate very much the way that the BSML staff made me feel
pleased and satisfied. Everybody is very kind and respectful, the teachers are
excellent and so are the meals. In addition, BSML is located in a beautiful and
peaceful neighborhood named Roslindale, which is easily accessible from
everywhere in Boston, the best city to study in the USA. Due to that and many
other things, I can recommend BSML to anybody looking to study English in the
USA.
Brian, I can't thank you enough for lending me your bicycle. I
enjoyed everyday rides to and from the school, taking advantage of the bike
paths and parks that the city offers. Also thank you for the invitation
to your house for dinner, that permitted me to share with your pretty family.
I hope to keep in touch and return soon to enjoy again this great
experience.
My Best regards for everybody at BSML.
A Colombian friend, Herman.

Sandra's Vocabulary Words
To curtail something means to shorten, reduce, or limit something

flu.
If you don't curtail your spending, you will have
a huge credit card bill to pay next month.
To
get/catch a glimpse of
something or someone means that you see something or someone quickly and not
very well
Examples:
When
Tom Cruise was filming a movie in Roslindale, BSML students waited all evening
to catch a glimpse of him.
Ines's Idioms
To be sick and tired of someone or something means to be disgusted and
annoyed with someone or something.
