What is BSML? A Student Essay
Seven months ago, I came to Boston to begin a new life in the U.S. I remember those days before my trip from Spain. I was so excited! The school has given me an opportunity to learn in the school´s office by working as an intern. I like my work. It´s true that Boston is the most European city in the USA. The first time that I saw downtown, it reminded me of Madrid because of the buildings and bars. If you love shopping, this is your city. There are a lot of stores and interesting places. My favorite place in Boston is the port where you go to see and smell the Atlantic Ocean. In Boston, you can see snow, the ocean, Harvard University, go ice skating and see Red Sox baseball games. Boston has beaches, parks and the Charles River. The most beautiful beach is Revere Beach. My favorite park is the Public Garden, near the Boston Common. There is a lake with a bridge and swans. As you know, Boston is the nearest city to Canada. I went to Canada in June and I visited Niagara Falls, Toronto, and the One Thousand Islands. It was a good time. Now, I´m looking forward to going to New York. It takes only 4 hours to get there. This experience has given me the opportunity to meet many people, live in another continent so different from Europe and the most important thing, know myself because this experience has taught me to be a patient and strong person. At Boston School of Modern Languages, you can choose between living with an American family or in an apartment. They are both good because you always speak English. In my case, I have lived in a school apartment with two girls from Turkey and Brazil. Now I live with an American woman.
My adventure is ending. At Christmas, I´m going to go back to Spain. What can I say about this city? I like it so much. I will miss Boston a lot!!! Don't think more, just come to BSML!!!. Don´t worry about your English. It takes time.
We are waiting for you with open arms. Esperanza Moreno Quiros Spain ___________________________________________________

Test Your Proficiency in English

Many of our past and future students have asked for a tool that would let them test their current proficiency in English. In response, BSML has introduced the BESTest© (Boston English Standardized Test). It is an on-line test that can be taken anytime, anywhere using the internet. The test is similar to the one we use for our current students at the school and it measures proficiency in grammar, vocabulary, idioms and pronunciation to the same level of accuracy.
If you are wondering what your current level is in English, consider taking the BESTest© on-line. You can register for the test by logging onto:
www.bostonenglishtest.com
The test takes about 45 minutes to complete and is only $15. You can pay on-line using our safe and secure payment system. The test results are delivered to you immediately after the test is completed. ___________________________________________________
