Greetings!
Here we are in between the holidays. We hope everyone had a sensational Thanksgiving and enjoyed being with family and friends. We also hope that during this busy buying season you are taking into consideration all the companies within our industry that would benefit greatly from your holiday shopping. The LBM client list could easily become your go-to gift list. I don't know anyone that doesn't need a good pair of rugged ATN binos to keep on hand for wildlife viewing (stay away from the neighbors' windows). How about a new DVD for the gunsmith or hunter or new shooter in the family? AGI offers just about every course under the sun and the DVDs fit just perfectly in a stocking. Stay tuned for all the DVD course bundles at hard-to-believe great prices! Heizer's little DoubleTap is taking the world by storm, so my suggestion would be to go to your favorite retailer and make sure you are on the list! But you better have been nice this year! KRISS Arms has the Big-Boy and Girl toys that take all the pain out of shooting .45 ACP and besides, you look like a rock star. Speaking of that stocking, consider filling it with the world's smallest and coolest lasers from LaserLyte. And, you won't break the bank (buy a couple for yourself). Masterpiece Arms has a variety of firearms from the Defender and Protector series and are about to launch their new suppressor line. If you are looking to outfit your loved one's AR, consider hopping over to the MGI website where you'll find a nice array of accessories that will make your AR rock. And for added bling, there is always the Hydra Modular rifle - then next year you can ask for different caliber configurations. It's the gift that keeps on giving! Got a cop in the family? Love to see him or her home every night safe and sound? The Chameleon from Morphix is a life-saving gift that detects dangerous invisible chemicals in the air. Low cost and easy to use, why not give a kit to your local agency! Ok, the Revision Batlskin is really super cool and I would love to be wearing it while driving my pink Vespa in downtown New Bern, but alas, military only, so why don't you pop over to their website to get yourself, sorry, friends and family members, some very cool eye pro instead! You got the guns and gear so how about purchasing some Sentry Solutions lubes and protectants to preserve the metal finishes on your new toys without leaving a greasy, gummy film behind. Plus, using Sentry Solutions Tuf-Cloth and Tuf-Glide combo on your guns will make the actions smoother and increase your accuracy. Setpoint Ammo is a great place to order up some very special .308 for your favorite shooter. You can even name the recipe after them! Talk about accuracy, he or she that receives this gift will think you are responsible for making them a better shooter! Now I know that writing all this down can be a chore, but if you had a Tuff-Writer pen, you'd be loving it! The new Operator Tactical Pens are not only comfortable to write with and in any yoga pose you might find yourself in during your shopping marathons, but those babies will defend you against the crazy zombie-like mall moms! See, what did I tell you? You can shop for your entire family just from the LBM family. And you are helping out some of the best, hard-working, family businesses right here in the great US of A!

|
American Technologies Network is introducing the latest product in their ThOR series of thermal optical rifle scopes; the ATN ThOR-320. The new ATN ThOR-320 is the smallest, most compact and lightweight in the ThOR series. The ThOR-320 uses forward-looking infrared (FLIR) that detects heat to create the visible image. The ThOR-320 provides extremely clear images through total darkness, fog or smoke. Nothing affects the sensitivity of these mini scopes, neither darkness, camouflage nor bright lights.

Freedom Hunters Takes Over Devil Dog Elk Hunt, Seeks Donations for Upcoming Hunt
|
Freedom Hunter has been asked to take over the Devil Dog Elk Hunt. The hunt takes place on the 600,000 acre Vermejo Ranch. This opportunity comes to Freedom Hunters thanks to Matt Keil and Nick Orchowski. Matt and Nick have both been on the hunt, so they will be the guides to what needs done to have a successful hunt. The hunt was started 11 years ago by three Marines: Lew Deal, Craig Boddington and Goegh Miller. This cow elk hunt has always catered to those severely wounded in battle. Freedom Hunters will be looking for servicemen or women that can not physically hunt elk otherwise. It is a true honor for the organization to take over a hunt with such a long history of honoring our heroes. It is their goal to maintain this hunt as long as there are veterans who need an opportunity to relax in the great outdoors. They would like to find wounded vets from across the country. If you know of anyone who Freedom Hunters can honor, let us know. In years past, travel to NM was the hunters responsibility. If Freedom Hunters can raise additional funds, they would like to see travel covered too. The veterans and volunteers will be staying at the NRA's Whittington Center outside Raton, NM.
Please let them know if you can help. Wounded Servicemen: Six to Ten Servicemen or Women Dates and Times: Dec 6: Arrive 1:00pm - 3:00pm Dec 7-8: Hunt Dates Dec 9: Leave by 12:00pm Accommodations: NRA's Whittington Center has rooms for volunteers at $54.00 per room per night (two double beds per room) Meals: Meals will be provided for Hunters, Guides and Volunteers Product Donated to date: Sitka Gear in Gore OPTIFADE Concealment (www.optifade.com) (www.sitkagear.com) How can you help:

Tips and Tricks on the Proper Use of TUF-GLIDE from the Sentry Solutions Blog
|
Q: Is there any benefit to applying TUF-GLIDE and letting it dry completely? If I apply TUF-GLIDE and wipe it off in less than 5 minutes is that just as good as leaving it on overnight to dry when it comes to preventing corrosion? I don't mean wipe it off with a TUF-CLOTH. I mean a good quality cloth for a nice polish that will wipe off any visible amount of the TUF-GLIDE. I'm really asking about this for times when I apply it to something I have to dis-assemble to apply the TUF-GLIDE. If it doesn't matter I'll just leave the parts wet and re-assemble. If I need to remove all the TUF-GLIDE before re-assembling something, should I let the parts sit overnight and wipe everything off the next day?
A: When it comes to protection against corrosion, more protection is always better. However, TUF-GLIDE delivers excellent results when the minimum is used; it will also dry much more quickly. The most important issue is to apply TUF-GLIDE to clean surfaces.
When lubricating a firearm or folding knife with TUF-GLIDE, it is best to work the action; allow the item to sit for 5 minutes or so, longer if TUF-GLIDE is also being used as the cleaner to remove any other lubricant and then wipe off any excess. When applying TUF-GLIDE to a flat surface such as the side of a pistol slide, magazine or knife blade, if the needle applicator was used to apply it, the needle can be used like a paint brush to spread the TUF-GLIDE film. A thinner film of TUF-GLIDE will dry more quickly. The reality is an excess of TUF-GLIDE is almost always applied and if allowed to penetrate wiping off any excess does not compromise the performance.
