Greetings!
This past week, LBM visited LaserLyte in Cottonwood, Arizona. What a treat! Eons ago, I lived in Bisbee and Ft. Huachuca, Arizona, so I have a certain fondness for the desert. Cottonwood is located between Prescott and Flagstaff, truly one of the most beautiful places on earth. We drove through Sedona on our way to visit LaserLyte and I'm telling you, I could live there! Stunning scenery and some really great driving through the steep mountains. Aaron Moore, Vice President of LaserLyte gave us a tour of the surrounding areas and towns such as Jerome, a fun town on the side of a mountain; and his facilities - yes, plural. More on that in time! LaserLyte is a great company, founded by Larry Moore, an industry veteran, hunter and inventor. The take-away for us was the passion that all the employees have for their brand, from taking calls to shipping lasers. LaserLyte has a lot on their plate for 2012 with everything from new products to new services for customers. It's hard to believe that in 2012, this mid-sized American company will be celebrating 25 years of making the best and smallest lasers on the market today. Thank you Aaron and Larry, we had a great visit and we are pumped up to make 2012 even better!

Sentry Solutions: Used and Proven in Florida
|
Anyone that owns a small business, especially in today's climate, knows how important testimonials are to the company's image. Tom Hardy, a retired Deputy Sheriff, is one firm believer in the rust protection offered by Sentry Solutions™'s Tuf-Cloth and Tuf-Glide. His testimonial is a shining example of how a product makes our lives (and guns) better!
Unless one lives here (Florida), one does not understand what damage humidity creates and how quick it creates it. As a former Deputy Sheriff from the West coast, I never encountered humidity issues as found here in Jacksonville, FL.
My beautiful Royal Blue Colt Python would be gone in 60-seconds. Even my stainless firearms are attacked by the humidity; usually showing up in the sight dovetails, beavertail and grip screws. I fought these issues every month on opening my storage cabinets until I discovered Marine Tuff-Cloth and Tuff-Glide.

My carry weapons displayed the same issues. For the past few years I have used the above mentioned products and have eliminated rust issues 100%. Previous to your product I would open my storage cabinets with baited breath only to find some rust, somewhere. My carry weapons would display the same issues. Not a lot of rust, just the rust colored powder beginnings. Recently my son asked me to provide him a weapon for family protection. I gave him his choice and he selected a Glock 23 I had carried for over ten years. Weapon looked brand new, although carried every day for 10 years and treated with Marine / Sentry products. Never much cared for the Glock frame, angle and trigger. I presented him the weapon along with a sample of your products. Nothing wrong with the Glock as it did what it was meant to do in this harsh environment. Since then, I have gone back to my roots, a 1911 Black Stainless Springfield treated with your products. Since switching to Sentry Products, I no longer need worry about rust. I use Marine Tuff-Cloth on everything including my C. C. W. and collectors weapons in storage. I use Tuff-Glide applied by Q-Tip in hard to reach areas such as sight dovetails, serrated slide stops, etc. STOPS RUST COLD! You may combine or edit my comments as necessary as I believe this is the best rust preventive on the market, period. You may also be interested in noting that I also collect vintage Guitars and use the same products to preserve rust sensitive components such as tuners, bridges, etc. "Nuff" said, used and proven in Florida.

Morphix Technologies Discusses New Chameleon Kits for Various Scenarios
|
Excerpt from Hampton Roads Business Journal:
A Virginia Beach manufacturer of safety gear has come up with a business strategy to better target its users - and the day-to-day crises they face.
In 2005, Morphix Technologies started selling a disposable chemical detector, called the Chameleon, to the military.
The product is a Velcro armband with disposable sensors that detect hazardous chemical gases.
Now, the company is offering three new chemical detection kits, packaged for its primary users: law enforcement, first responders and fire personnel.
The new Chameleon kits are available for various scenarios, like detecting hazardous gases associated with drug labs, chemical suicides and HazMat - hazardous materials - accidents.
"First we sold the Chameleon to just the military," said Kimberly Chapman, vice president of sales and marketing for Morphix. "Over the last two years, we've really made a big push to also sell it to firefighters and police.
