Greetings!
This month Laura Burgess Marketing rolled out a series of new Facebook and Twitter applications to their clients. We consider ourselves thought leaders in the realm of social media services within the shooting sports industry and have made it our goal to stay in the lead. The new applications provide our current clients and clients yet-to-come with advantages over their competitor's Facebook pages. The new apps allow for distinct branded welcome pages, video addition, sweepstakes, surveys, coupons, buying on Facebook and more. We recognize that if you are a mega-company with an IT force the size of a college freshman English class, then you might be developing your own apps. LBM is a force of three but with the might of any super company. We have, through our current PR web-based subscription program, been able to offer the same fantastic, customer-catching apps at a price that is amazingly low - really! We are doing this because we know that social media is not going away. We know that more and more businesses are using social media to have a dialog with their customers, build brands, extend market reach and to listen to what their customers think of them and their brands. Read more about how we are providing the latest and greatest social media services to our clients and if you are interested, contact us. You can't ignore these recent stats:
- Facebook has 600 million users
- 50% of active Facebook users log on everyday

- Businesses are using Facebook for: Thought leadership, lead generation, customer feedback and advertising.
- 50% of the WORLD's population is under 30 years old - 96% have joined a social network

AGI's New S&W M&P Semi-Auto Pistol Course
Everything You Need to Know for the Most Popular Law Enforcement & Competition Handgun on the Market Today!
|

Smith & Wesson's M&P semi-auto pistol is one of America's most popular law enforcement handguns and increasingly being seen on the IDPA circuit. American Gunsmithing Institute now has a new DVD course on the S&W M&P in all its variations and calibers.
AGI Instructor and Master Gunsmith, Robert "Bob" Dunlap , uses a "cut-away" model to identify parts and internal workings, demonstrate proper cleaning and lubrication and to help you better understand the unique design and function of the handgun. Bob not only shows you the intricacies of civilian versions but also takes you through the M&P model .45 with the optional thumb safety, mandated by the military and some law enforcement agencies.
Bob delves into the history of "plastic" guns, beginning with GLOCK and how Smith & Wesson responded with the Sigma model pistol. He'll provide you with the origins of the "M&P" name and concept and go into the design and function through explanation and demonstration of the various systems. Bob will discuss certain aspects of the handgun and freely gives his opinion based upon his years of expertise as a gunsmith. From the steel rails to the trigger, you'll get the insider's look at operation, potential for problems and how to overcome them.
Bob will also explain and demonstrate the importance of proper disassembly, cleaning and lubrication to keep your S&W M&P in top performance condition. Bob reassembles the pistol while demonstrating certain key areas to watch for potential problems. He wraps up this must-have course with his own personal observations on the popular pistol, what to look for and whether or not Bob "The Great One" would put the S&W M&P in his gun locker.
This course is a valuable aid to any owner of the S&W M&P series handguns. Full of visual demonstrations, tips and techniques, you'll go back to it again and again to get the most out of your S&W M&P. The AGI Smith & Wesson M&P Semi-Auto Pistol course is available at www.americangunsmith.com for only $39.95 (Product Id#149DVD).
If you love taking AGI's short courses, maybe gunsmithing is the job for you. Look into the AGI Professional Gunsmith course where in 108 hours of your own time, you can become a certified gunsmith and start making money at the hobby you love.

ATN ThOR 3 Thermal Weapon Sight
Thermal Optical Riflescopes for Light, Medium and Heavy Weapons Applications Now Available in B&W or Color Display
|
American Technologies Network developed an advanced family of thermal sights for light, medium and heavy weapon applications; the ThOR series of thermal imaging scopes. The ThOR 3 optics are based upon a proven 320 x 240 microbolometer core, which is coupled with a high resolution OLED Color Microdisplay Assembly or B&W OLED Microdisplay Assembly that provides exceptional resolution and clarity.
To achieve superior accuracy and precision the ThOR scopes utilize a rear projected optical precision windage and elevation system that allows for ¾" MOA (2X) and ½" MOA (3x) reticle adjustments. This is a significant improvement over systems that use digital windage and elevation. The ThORs are the only thermal weapon sights with ATN's new proprietary feature - Two Color Manual Brightness control of the aiming reticle. This feature allows for a choice of color (red or amber) of the projected reticle depending on the operator's preference and tactical situation. The ThOR has a 3x optical magnifications, an increased resolution benefit over traditional digital zoom models.
The ThOR 3 scope is feature rich and an ideal tool for force protection, border patrol officers, police SWAT and special operations forces. Features include; precision internal windage and elevation adjustment, a digital operating control with direct button access, a manual image refresh switch, digital zoom for surveillance purposes, rapid 3-second start-up, 6-hour operation with 4-lithium batteries, MIL-STD-1913 (Picatinny Rail) Quick-Release Mount; all housed in a rugged, full-metal, durable housing.
An important benefit of the ThOR 3 scopes for surveillance operators is that the uncooled thermal imaging cuts through dust, smoke, fog, haze and other combat obscurants. The ThOR 3 does not emit any visible light or RF energy, keeping the operator's location in total secrecy and safety.
The ThOR 3 B&W is available with an MSRP of $13,199.00 and the color unit for $13,699.00
The ThOR 3 Thermal Imaging scope can be purchased directly at www.atncorp.com or any of their retailing partners .

LaserLyte® - Keeping Our Aim on a Greener Environment
Pledges a "Creation-to-Consumer" Strategy of Environmental Responsibility for LaserLyte's Laser Manufacturing and Packaging Systems
|
LaserLyte® is devoted to manufacturing products in a manner that best maintains a healthful world and work environment. LaserLyte's commitment to environmental responsibility is consistent through-out the product life-cycle.
Beginning in the manufacturing stage, each component is produced with a focus on creating as little environmental waste as possible. This is accomplished through LaserLyte's state-of-the-art manufacturing facility that employs new energy efficient machinery and environmentally safe coolants. All of LaserLyte's products are made in the U.S.A., thus reducing the demand for costly fossil fuels. To further reduce fuel consumption, LaserLyte's efficient shipping system minimizes freight costs and environmental strain by combining outgoing shipments.
LaserLyte's retail packaging is another facet of the company's commitment to reduce the environmental impact of waste. LaserLyte uses a high level of recycled materials in their packing. All packaging sports a recycle-friendly stamp which designates the package as a 1-PETE type highly recyclable plastic. LaserLyte customers are highly encouraged to continue the recycle philosophy by disposing of the packaging correctly and responsibly.
Even the product instruction cards in the packaging are made from 80 to 100-percent post-consumer recycled materials and are also recyclable. LaserLyte works closely with the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), which aims to limit the loss of natural forests and reduce the use of hazardous pesticides. FSC is a non-profit and non-governmental organization which promotes responsible management of the world's forests by certifying companies which comply closely with its strict regulations.
The commitment to environmental stewardship is a commitment made by the LaserLyte management and employees who make every effort to reduce the use of paper through electronic programs and active carpooling to and from work. In addition, LaserLyte insists on maintaining energy efficient heating and cooling components and designating recycle bins for cardboard and other paper products throughout the offices and manufacturing facility.
LaserLyte's established programs help to recycled waste that may have otherwise ended up in landfills. LaserLyte's "recycle and reduce" programs further demonstrate the company's commitment to leaving as small of a footprint on the environment as possible.

Morphix Technologies® Introduces Three New Chameleon Chemical Detection Kits
The Grab-and-Go Chameleon Kits for Law Enforcement, First Responders or Fire Personnel Specifically Designed to Detect Hazardous Gases from Drug Labs, HazMat Scenarios or Chemical Suicides
|
Morphix Technologies® introduces three easy-to-use Chameleon chemical detection safety kits for law enforcement, first responders or fire personnel. Each convenient Chameleon kit is identified for a specific toxic gas situation. New kits are now available for clandestine methamphetamine labs or the newer "shake-n-bake" situations (Clan-Meth Lab Detection Kit), a hazardous material release/chemical spill (HazMat Detection Kit) or the newest trend in suicides (Chemical Suicide Detection).
The Chameleon kits are field-configurable chemical detection units that offer a low-cost, easy-to-use, hands-free solution to protect the safety of professional personnel whose job it is to be the first on the scene. Incorporating the use of Chameleon Detection Kits into police, fire and first responder training and actual use on service calls can provide an extra measure of safety and perhaps even save lives. In addition to safety considerations, the use of the Chameleon can reduce liability, injury time off and result in a reduction of costs by actually preventing injuries.
The Chameleon is a wearable, configurable sensor that is designed for easy on/easy off fit on the wearer's forearm and can be worn over most turn-out gear or level-A suits. The sensors change color when toxic gases are present and require no power source or calibration. Unlike current colorimetric detection systems, the Chameleon is designed to military standards for use in a wide variety of operating environments. It can be used in desert heat, arctic cold or tropical conditions and can even be immersed in water. The Chameleon detects gases and vapors in the air where other technologies only detect hazards in liquid or aerosol forms. Gaseous forms of toxic chemicals are the most likely danger to first responders, police and fire personnel.
Each specialized kit contains a wearable and fit-adjustable armband and prepackaged sensor cassettes. The Chameleon HazMat Detection Kit contains sensors for: chlorine/fluorine, diborane, high pH (base), hydrazine, hydrogen sulfide, iodine, low pH (acid), phosgene, phosphine and sulfur dioxide. The Chameleon Clan-Meth Lab Detection Kit contains sensors for: ammonia, hydrogen sulfide, iodine, low pH(acid) and phosphine. The Chameleon Chemical Suicide Detection Kit contains sensors for: high pH (base), hydrogen sulfide, low pH (acid), phosgene, and sulfur dioxide.

Sentry Solutions' Hi-Slip Grease™ and Tuf-Cloth™ Now in Convenient, Heavy-Duty Jars
New Mini-Jars for Popular Gun Protection Products Keep Lubrication Right at Your Fingertips
|
Sentry Solutions Hi-Slip Grease™ and TUF-CLOTH™ are now available in easy-twist, heavy-duty, mini-jars keeping the popular firearms lubricants and protectants airtight and convenient whether stored on your retail shelf, work bench or in your range bag. The new jars are more durable and resistant to accidental cutting or puncturing when stored in a gunsmithing box.
HI-SLIP GREASE is a synthetic blend containing the finest micro-bonding lubricants available. Applying a light coat on metal surfaces will prevent galling and corrosion even under high load and extreme conditions. The HI-SLIP GREASE can be easily applied using a Q-Tip, applicator stick or by dipping small metal parts into the jar which allows parts to be easily positioned and held in their location; making assembly easier. Small springs and bearings can be virtually impossible to hold in position without using HI-SLIP GREASE.
HI-SLIP GREASE reduces friction and protects from -65°F to 650°F as tested by the Navy SEALs from the deserts of Kuwait to the Bering Strait. Once a thin coat is applied to any metal surface including titanium, stainless steel or aluminum, the concentrated formula of molybdenum disulfide will smooth tight actions for an easier lock up, lighten triggers and protect choke tube threads while making them easier to tighten and remove. Non-toxic HI-SLIP GREASE eliminates wear while enhancing performance and reliability for all firearms in the harshest conditions. It inhibits corrosion from salt water, powder residue, sweat and moisture on all types of metal. MSRP is $11.25 ( Product Code 91051) for the 56 grams/2 ounce jar. HI-SLIP Grease is also available in a syringe applicator.
TUF-CLOTH, the 12"x12" lint-free, re-usable cloth has been providing protection superior to any oil or silicone products for firearms since 1990. The oil-free, bonded shield guards against moisture; including extreme conditions and environments, without attracting dust, dirt and debris. Now packaged in a Sentry Solutions heavy-duty, mini-jar, the TUF-CLOTH is portable, stackable, and easy to open and reseal keeping the TUF-CLOTH effective for hundreds of uses. TUF-CLOTH works by applying a water-displacing, micro bonded crystal barrier that protects against rust, friction and wear in any condition, for all of your firearms and metal equipment. MSRP IS $8.95 (Product Code 91011). TUF-CLOTH is also available in a re-sealable foil pouch.
Tested and used by NAVY SEALs and other branches of the U.S. Military and endorsed and recommended by over 40 manufacturers, Sentry Solutions products can be found at your local retailer or online at www.sentrysolutions.com.

MGI's D-Fender D ring Increases M16/M4/AR15 Extractor Spring Force by 4X
|
MGI's D-Fender D Ring may be the size of a child's fingernail but it increases M16/M4/AR15 extractor spring force by 4 times! Because of an inherent fault of the weapon, the extractor spring lacks tension and failure is bound to occur. The fired cartridge case prematurely releases off the bolt face just prior to ejection. The fired case remains in the feedway and ends up jammed on top of a live round feeding from below. This causes a serious malfunction! In order to fix the malfunction the user must remove the magazine, bolt lock and clear the feedway before the weapon can be returned to service. This premature release of the fired case is caused by the extractor lip slipping out of the extractor grove and off the fired case head because of the lack of extractor spring tension. The MGI D-Fender ring is the simple solution; shaped like the letter "D" the D-Fender is slipped over the extractor spring and the parts reassembled. Installation takes less than 3 minutes and with the D-Fender in place the extractor spring's force has just been multiplied by 4 times!
