"I was traveling South on I-95 through South Carolina with my wife and mother-in-law in 2 trucks. My wife's vehicle broke down so we pulled off at the next exit which happened to be deserted. While waiting for the tow truck a car pulled up with 3 men in it. A man exited the rear passenger side of the vehicle with a shirt wrapped around his head and a large pistol, which turned out to be a Desert Eagle .50 cal. He threatened my mother-in-law with the gun and shouted at her."

How Many Different Ways Can You Use Tuf-Cloth from Sentry Solutions? |
How many different ways can you use a Tuf-Cloth™? First and foremost is gun care! It's summertime, time to get out on the range, do a little plinking with the family or shoot some skeet with at the local club, so you don't want to have to spend all that time, pre-oiling and gunking your guns to have to clean them afterwards. Think of Sentry Solutions products as PREVENTATIVE MEDICINE for your firearms. Traditional gun oil is, well, oily, wet. And anything oily or wet works like a magnet to attract dirt. Dirt and gun performance do not go together. Ask a Navy SEAL. But the Sentry Solutions are really the SOLUTION, ONCE AND FOR ALL and will put an end to your constant cleaning and dirt removal. Once you clean off all that oily gunk and use the Sentry Solutions family of dry gun lubricants; Tuf-Cloth, Tuf-Glide, BP2000 Powder to protect your gun, any future cleaning will be a snap! In fact, if you use Smooth-Kote to lubricate your gun, it will actually resist the build-up of residues and fouling to the point that future cleaning is as simple as brushing it off! So let's see, Sentry Solutions products are great for gun care, knife care, fishing tackle care, tool care, bike care..... What do you use your Tuf-Cloth for?

The Four Fighting Ranges of C.U.M.A.
By Waysun Johnny Tsai |
Most modern day combative systems focus on four primary fighting ranges. Range One would be the outside striking range, this range utilizes fully extended limbs when punching, kicking or when armed with an impact or edged weapon. The second range, often referred to as "Range Two" focuses on close range stand up striking such as knees, elbows, headbutts and inside punching. Range Three is the stand up grappling range. This is the range where two combatants push, throw, grab and strike while holding on to each other. The forth range is ground fighting. This range can be used in combat sports such as in mixed martial arts competitions as well as in the street (dirty grappling). In the C.U.M.A Tactical Street Defense system, we do train in all four ranges. We call this part of the program the A.R.C (All Range Combat). A class on A.R.C. will focus on what is known as the self defense flow (SDF) check points. Check point one would be a Range One SDF from the first evasion or block to the take down of the attacker. The second check point would have the first SDF fail and move the attacker into the second range and this point the defender must apply a Range Two SDF until the attacker is down or subdued. Range Three and four work the same way, each SDF has a successful check point and then a failure. The ultimate goal in A.R.C. training is to start at Range One, proceed to Range Two, Three and Four then fight your way back to Range One. The average A.R.C. SDF drill will contain a minimum of four dynamic combinations before returning the first range. C.U.M.A (Combined Universal Martial Applications) practitioners are tested on the A.R.C by both armed and unarmed assailants. The risk of obtaining bodily harm defending against an attacker is greatly increased once he is armed with an impact or edged weapon, therefore the training must be dynamic enough to increase the chance of surviving an attack. Students who are tested must demonstrate modified versions of their unarmed sdfs against armed attacks as well as demonstrate how they would apply their SDF once armed themselves. Ultimately no matter how "realistic" training is, it is still just training and not fighting so it is of vital importance to practice with intent . In the classroom, we create reality based scenarios and apply levels of contact that equal the level of contact that we wish to receive. Some partners like to push and hit harder than others, some don't. Some students are better strikers, some are better at their ground game. Students with an all around understanding and capacity to control the dynamic ranges of the A.R.C. generally have a higher success rate against the larger and resisting classmate. To learn more about C.U.M.A or to set up an A.R.C. training seminar with your group please visit www.tsaiskungfu.net or email sijo@cumaram.com

Protect Your Assests with RuBee from Visible Assets |
You may think that everything LBM represents is all guns and gear, but did you ever wonder how facilities or armories keep track of guns going in and out? Welcome Visible Assets, Inc. Using a wireless technology called RuBee, a facility can tag their high risk, high value items such as weapons, night vision gear, body armor, or specialized tools and people. As you or the products move through a "gate" the RuBee wireless detects the gun and the person moving through it. Now, some of you may have seen something similar, but let me tell you this is not your mother's detection system and certainly not an RFID technology. Unlike RFID, RuBee reads through water (human body is made up of 55% to 78% water) and steel (can't hide in cars, metal briefcases). RuBee is safe around humans; in fact it's been approved by the FDA for use in operating rooms! And RuBee can be used near munitions and explosives - it won't set them off. Finally, RuBee is the only wireless technology used in secure and top secret facilities because it has no eavesdropping, tempest or target risks unlike WiFi or RFID! As a former Warehouse Manager, I think this kind of technology should be in every armory, every firearm facility, any manufacturing plant for valuable military products not only to protect the property, but to make the arduous task of keeping track so much easier! Visible Assets is setting up a Press Room for your convenience so you can learn more about this exciting technology. |
