COMING SOON TO THE Y!
We're excited to tell you about a new tool coming to your Y!

We've all been there - wondering what exercises to do, when to do them, or even how to do them. That's why we are adding ActivTrax, a virtual trainer that serves as your workout partner and understands your wants, needs and goals. It's simple to use, very effective, and easy to get started.

ActivTrax creates a new workout for you with every visit to the Y, keeping things fresh and interesting. It tells you which equipment to use, how to set the weights and how long to rest between sets. There's even an online exercise library that shows you how to perform the exercises correctly. ActivTrax is for every member at every level: beginner, intermediate, or advanced. ActivTrax guides you, tracks your progress, and challenges you privately and on your terms.

See a welcome center or wellness associate for more information about this exciting new program!  ActivTrax is here starting May 21st!

THANK, HONOR & REMEMBER OUR HEROES

May is the month we celebrate both Armed Forces Day (May 19) and Memorial Day (May 28).

While warmer weather and sun beckon, it's important to take time to remember the hundreds of thousands of military personnel who have served, and even died, protecting our freedoms.

Armed Forces Day was established in 1949 under the leadership of President Truman, to establish a single holiday for citizens to thank military members for their service (previously each branch of the military had a separate day).

Memorial Day was first observed on May 30, 1868, when flowers were placed on the graves of Union and Confederate soldiers at Arlington National Cemetery.

This month, make a point to thank members of our Armed Forces and their families for their sacrifice, and honor those who died in service to the country.

  • Visit a veteran's home and bring a thank you card or baked good
  • Fly the U.S. flag
  • Visit war memorials with your family to teach your children the value of service
  • Try to make military life easier with a note of gratitude, homemade dinner, or free tickets to a fun local event for a military family or veterans in your community.
  • Make a donation or volunteer with a military assistance organization or your Y, so they can continue to support military families in need.
