| FOR HEALTHY LIVING | |
Last month we introduced you to the first of our our three areas of focus: For Youth Development. This month we'd like to share about our second area of focus: For Healthy Living.
Behind "For Healthy Living" is the fact that across the nation and right here in Virginia, the Y is a leading voice on health and well-being. With a mission centered on balance, the Y brings families closer together, encourages good health and fosters connections through fitness, sports, fun and shared interests. As a result, millions of youth, adults and families receive the support, guidance and resources needed to achieve greater health and well-being for their spirit, mind and body. |
| FESTIVAL OF THE TREES CELEBRATION | |
|
What better way to usher in the holiday season than good food, great shopping and the opportunity to dress up to support a worthy community cause!
On Friday, November 19th, join us at the William and Mary Alumni House for a silent auction, beginning at 7:00 p.m. and a live auction at 9:30 p.m. Themed trees, holiday spirits and heavy hors d'oeuvres complete the evening. Black tie is optional. This would make a great Christmas present for a friend or family member, one that you won't need to wrap.
Tickets are $45/person and proceeds benefit the YMCA Strong Communities Campaign which provides scholarships to families in our programs. This evening is for adults only. PDF
