In Remembrance...
The R.F. Wilkinson Family YMCA Staff and Members celebrate the life and legacy left by Richard Franklin Wilkinson.
Colonel Wilkinson, the individual for whom your YMCA is named, passed away Friday, May 14th but his contribution to the Greater Williamsburg community will live on forever in the hearts of those who call this YMCA their own.
His legacy is in the future generations of children and adults who learned to swim the pool named for his son Tommy, in the lives of those families brought together within its walls, and in the friendships made over coffee. Colonel Wilkinson frequented his YMCA twice a week until just before his passing. His presence on the Wellness Floor and the joy he brought to his YMCA and community will be remembered for years to come. |

A Day of Family Fun, Fitness and Fashion!
Bring the family for a day of afternoon activities, demonstrations and a summer fashion show at the Williamsburg Outlet Mall on Saturday, June 12th from 12:00 noon until 6:00 p.m.
This event is a combined effort with the YMCA and Williamsburg Outlet Mall and will include information about local resources designed to help your family meet their wellness goals.

Celebrating the 100th Anniversary of Fathers Day
 Father's Day was first celebrated in June 1910 at the Spokane YMCA in Washington state. It is now recognized all over the world. The RFW Family YMCA is proud to join this historic celebration honoring fathers. Dads and moms play a paramount role in children's lives and the Y is committed to helping foster those relationships.

Between June 7 th and June 30 th, each member you refer to the YMCA will earn you a free month of membership. The more people you refer, the more months you earn. As a special offer to new members, we will waive the initial joining fee.
