| Child Care Slots Available
We currently have openings at our Child Development Center. The R. F. Wilkinson Family YMCA CDC, located at 117 Information Center Drive, offers a full day program for children 6 weeks - 5 years of age and operates from 6:30 a.m. - 6 p.m.
It is the philosophy of the YMCA Child Development Center at Colonial Williamsburg that early childhood should be a time of fun, warmth, security, exploring and discovery. Planned within the framework of philosophy and purpose, our curriculum includes sharing and conversation, stories, songs and finger plays, creative art and crafts activities, large muscle activities, cooking projects and exposure to shapes, numbers, colors and letters. Teachers use learning centers in play-based curriculum to offer challenging activities in all developmental areas.
The YMCA Child Development Center at Colonial Williamsburg is NAEYC accredited and licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Social Services.
To register, get on the wait list, or tour the facility, please contact Susan Ishman, Associate Child Care Director, by calling 757.220.7045 or 757.220.7994 or email susan.ishman@peninsulaymca.org. or Julie Highsmith-Greene at julie.highsmith@peninsulaymca.org
