Enjoy your Journey
Behind each YMCA program is our desire to make your life more joyful. The YMCA is here to help you and your family thrive, to improve your well-being, connect with others, and access support. We're here to help our children increase positive values, their commitment to service and their motivation to learn.
It has never been a better time to encourage family and friends to begin their journey at the YMCA:

Activities include active play, group exercise classes and fitness stations. While you're here learn about proper nutrition and how to make better food choices. It's true what they say...families that play together, stay active and healthier together.

Child Care Slots Available
We currently have openings at our Child Development Center. The R. F. Wilkinson Family YMCA CDC offers a full day program for children 6 weeks - 5 years of age and operates from 6:30 a.m. - 6 p.m.
It is the philosophy of the YMCA Child Development Center at Colonial Williamsburg that early childhood should be a time of fun, warmth, security, exploring and discovery. Planned within the framework of philosophy and purpose, our curriculum includes sharing and conversation, stories, songs and finger plays, creative art and crafts activities, large muscle activities, cooking projects and exposure to shapes, numbers, colors and letters. Teachers use learning centers in play-based curriculum to offer challenging activities in all developmental areas.
The YMCA Child Development Center at Colonial Williamsburg is NAEYC accredited and licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Social Services.
To register, get on the wait list, or tour the facility, please contact Susan Ishman, Associate Child Care Director, by calling 757.220.7045 or 757.220.7994 or email susan.ishman@peninsulaymca.org. |
