Greetings!
Did anyone else see the news report on WTWO that Terre Foods hoped to open its doors this week? Wow, was that news to us! And oh, if only it were true. Sadly, though, reports of our store opening have been greatly exaggerated. There is a co-op in Indiana opening this week--Pogue's Run in Indianapolis--and we heartily encourage everyone who can to head to their store and show your Terre Haute Co-op support!
But about the news story on Terre Foods? *sigh* I'm told that any publicity is good publicity, right?
I want to ask each of you, though, if you saw that news report, or heard about it from a friend, did you get really excited? (Okay, and maybe a little miffed that you hadn't heard it from us first.) Did you think about finally getting to go to the store, buy your bulk goods, your local produce and dairy and eggs, and see your friends and neighbors in there with you? Did you think "I'll finally get that membership!" If your reaction was anything like this, then you know how great having our store will be. But you also need to know that it will not happen without you. We need to increase our memberships--this is absolutely key to opening our store. Don't wait for the news announcement that the store is opening, because if you do, that announcement will never come. Become a member today--click HERE to find out more!
We appreciate everyone's support. Opening a co-op is a slow process, but the commitment of all of us will pay off for years and years to come!
Happy Martin Luther King, Jr. Day!
In cooperation, Robyn
