Greetings!

The Salsa Contest is coming August 28th, at the Downtown Farmer's Market, and there is still time to register!  Registering now will give you the lower registration cost of $15, and guarantee your slot in the contest.  We are capping the entries at 25, so sign up soon!  Judging will be held at the Market from 10am-noon, so be sure to come down, do some tasting, and vote for your favorite!  You can register online by clicking here, or visit us at the market this weekend and fill out a registration form there.  Contest guidelines are available at our website, or at our market table as well.

Saturday, Sept. 11th will also be our Yeasted Breads Class with Candace Minster and Susie Lannoo.  See below for registration details, and learn to make some of the yummiest bread in the world!

It's time to get your salsa on!  The gardens are full of tomatoes, peppers, onions, and everything else that makes salsa a summer wonder food.  Show off your favorite salsa recipe at our Salsa Contest, Aug 28th, at the Downtown Farmer's Market.  Registration is $15; early registration is encouraged, as entries will be capped at 25.  Categories are:
  • Raw salsas
  • Cooked salsas
  • "Specialty" salsas (where non-traditional ingredients are the focus)
Winners will be judged by a panel and awards given for each category, as well as a Best-In-Show "Taster's Choice" award.  Winners in the three categories will receive a $25 gift certificate to the Downtown Farmer's Market.  Best-In-Show winner will receive a $50 gift certificate.

To enter, go to our website and enter online via Paypal, or print out and send in your entry form with your entry fee.  Remember, a maximum of 25 entries will be accepted, so enter now!
