It's Seniors Morning at the Library
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 3: 10-11am
The first Friday of every month is Seniors morning @ the Library at the Caledon Village branch. Seniors are invited for book exchanges, book talks and refreshments. This program is open to anyone and there is no need to register in advance. However a bus from CCS will transport residents of Maple Grove Seniors Apartments to the event if they register at the library in advance. Caledon Day Main Stage Performers
A full day of fun family activities, ending with a BANG (fireworks)!
When you arrive at Caledon Day, souvenir programs will be available, that outline where the various activities are taking place.
On the Main Stage, there will be performances by local entertainers such as:

Hilights of Salamander Day:
This year, the Belfountain Salamander Festival coincides with the inaugural Caledon Day celebrations on Saturday, October 4th, and honours the threatened Jefferson Salamander.

Start the day with a hike in the park where a Credit Valley Conservation assistant will be in attendance to answer questions.

Enjoy a yummy country breakfast outside the historic Belfountain Village Church where you will be serenaded by local talent.

Stick around for the BBQ lunch, browse the vendors' booths, pick up SPZ+ baked goods (Squash, pumpkin, zucchini, and more), bid on items in the silent auction (details below), and discover who can grow the ugliest squash in our "Squash It" contest.

The first 100 people to bring their own mug will be rewarded with a free cup of Organic Free Trade coffee.

- October 4 & 5 - Annual Brampton Model Railroad Show, at the Fairgrounds (Heart Lake Rd and Old School Rd, Caledon) 10-4:30 pm (Sat); 10-4 pm (Sun). Admission $5/adults; $3/seniors and teens; children under 12yrs free; $10/family. 33,000 square feet of model trains.
- Saturday, October 4th: Kidsfest Event - Paint the Mayors: From 10am - noon at Dairy Queen (corner of Fourth Ave & Hwy 10, Orangeville). 10 Westside Secondary School art students and teacher Suzan Bell-Laithwaite will help kids learn the fun of painting AND 12 Kids will get to paint Mayor Rob Adams of Orangeville, Mayor Rod Finnie of Erin, Mayor Marilyn Morrison of Caledon and MPP Sylvia Jones.
- Sunday, October 5th: The Caledon Hills Bruce Trail Club is holding Bruce Trail Day at Forks of the Credit Park
- Sunday, October 5th: Dawn to Dusk Rooftop Charity Spin at Riverdale Fitness Mill in Inglewood is holding their second annual 'Rooftop Spin' fundraiser for Hospice Caledon. Please register and request your pledge forms at info@riverdalefitnessmill.com or call (905) 838-3236.
