Coming this Weekend
After months of planning and weeks of waiting, its finally here!
We hope everyone will join us at Caledon Day this Saturday, October 4th.
The day begins at 10 am, and events at Caledon Day will include:
- Core Solutions (Caledon East) Fall Into Fitness 5km Fun Run and 1km Kids Run on October 4th. Warm-up is at 8:00 am, 5km starts at 8:30, 1 km starts at 9:15. Registration is through The Running Room
- Heritage Bus Tour to Belfountain to admire Caledon in its fall state of beauty,
- A Family Village with children's activities
- Farmers market,
- Classic car show,
- Artisan vendors,
- Caledon café,
- Loads of local, live music,
- And to end the night there will be a large firework display

Love That Library!
 Today kicks off LOVE YOUR LIBRARY MONTH, and begins a full month of wonderful programs being offered at all Library branches throughout Caledon.
October 1 highlights:
- FINE FREE DAY AT THE LIBRARY - bring in a donation of non-perishable item and fines are forgiven
- Kick off of Elizabeth Scavetta Memorial Short Story Contest for teens (ask for details at any branch)
- Love Your Library Open House - Belfountain Branch 6-8
- CPL Book Club - Belfountain Branch
We'll try to make sure we touch on what's happening each day, but we encourage book lovers to click on the Library logo (above) to visit the library website and see a complete list of events. |
- Bolton Seniors Centre Happenings: 12 noon - Birthday & Anniversary Lunch. Celebrate with us! 1:00p.m. - Bingo & Club Italiano, All welcome.
- Caledon East Seniors Club #588 meet every Wednesday, 1:15 pm, at the Caledon Community Complex, Caledon East. Everyone welcome for an afternoon of friendly euchre and lunch. Call Marjorie 905-584-2691.
- Bolton Laughter Club meets Wednesdays the 3rd) 7 pm, at the Davis Centre (80 Allan Dr, Bolton.) Laugh with others for no reason. No fee. No pre-registration.
- Tops (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) Group meets in Bolton United Church Heritage Hall, weigh-in 7 pm; meeting 7:30-8:30 pm. This nonprofit weight loss support group meets every Wednesday. Everyone welcome. Call Ruth 905- 857-3237 or Lorraine 905-857-1568.
- Bolton and District Horticultural Society meets at 7:30 pm, Albion Bolton Community Centre, Meeting Rm C. Speaker: Martin Galloway on Wetlands and Bogs. $3/visitors; members free. Refreshments served.

Riverdale Fitness Mill in Inglewood is holding their second annual 'Rooftop Spin' fundraiser for Hospice Caledon. Please come on over to Inglewood and jump on one of the 13 bikes set up on the roof of the Old Mill and cycle for one hour for a great cause. You can bring your donation on the day of the event or request a pledge sheet and get sponsors for your efforts (receipts are provided). Please register and request your pledge forms at info@riverdalefitnessmill.com or call (905) 838-3236. Almost $6,000 was raised last year and they hope to do even better this year! | |
