Cruising... by Shelly Sargent
We've had an active summer (which ended much too soon) and we've been very busy with local events. In the course of our travels, we realized that awareness of the stations would be increased and local special events could be promoted more visibly if we acquired a logo'd station vehicle.
With that in mind - Radio Caledon is proud to introduce our brand new Community Cruiser! Sponsored by Stuart Sinclair, Sales Representative with RE/MAX West, the Community Cruiser has been roaming the roads, attending events and openings, and in general - spreading the word about Radio Caledon, B105.5FM & INFO 102.7FM.
Watch for the Radio Caledon Community Cruiser at the following events:
- Thurs., Sept. 11 - Home Depot Grand Opening, Bolton;
- Sun., Sept 14 - Pizza Depot 1st Anniversary, Bolton;
- Sept. 19-21 - Bolton Fall Fair;
- Wed., Sept. 24 - Bolton Truck Pro Grand Opening;
If you have an event and would like to have the radio station there with the cruiser, give us a call at 905-951-2899 or email info@radiocaledon.com.

| Gifts "Yule" Love Vendors Wanted!
.................................................
We're hard at work planning the 1st Annual "Gifts Yule Love" Christmas Shopping Show and we're looking for Caledon-based businesses who are interested in marketing their gift items, products or services to local shoppers at a unique Christmas trade show.
The show will take place at Rotary Place (Behind Caledon Center for Recreation & Wellness) from 10am- 3pm on November 29th,2008 and will feature 2 full rooms of one-stop Holiday Shopping. Gifts Yule Love will provide local retailers and service providers with a unique way to reach more Christmas shoppers, while offering a fun, seasonal activity that locals can enjoy to help kick off the "holiday" season We're providing an opportunity for local consumers to shop for their Christmas Gifts in a festive atmosphere, perusing the products of local businesses - all under one roof, with lots of free parking and a nominal admission fee.
Though its early days yet, we're planning to have a prize table, featuring ornaments and gift items donated by local "celebs", that we'll sell tickets on and raffle off - with the proceeds going to a local charity.
We also plan to ask visitors to the show to bring non-perishable food items for the food bank. In addition to retailers and gift certificates from local service providers, we'll have a craft & artisan corner, live entertainment, prizes, and lots of holiday spirit!
We'll be broadcasting live on B105.5FM and rumour has it that the "Jolly Old Elf" himself will be making an appearance - and may even be available for photo opp's!
Vendors in the show will also receive bonus radio commercials as part of the package. You won't want to miss Gifts Yule Love!
