For your home...
Now that the holiday decorations are finally packed away, the weather is getting warmer and it's light out longer, there are no more excuses
Windows: Micro-fiber clothes are great for glass, mirrors, even windshields. A little warm water is all you need for the interior. Exterior windows can be easier cleaned with a squeege. (Secret- a drop of dishwashing liquid in the water and the squeege will glide accross the glass and it will dry streak free).Lastly, don't forget to wipe out the tracks and if your really motivated, get the screens done.
Blinds: Micro-fiber again...get yourself a micro-fiber mit and you will see how fast wiping down your blinds can be without putting all that dust into the air with a traditional dust wand and you'll avoid the hassel of getting out the vacuum and balancing it up on a chair so you can reach everything with the attachments.
Cupboards and Pantries: First step is to clear off a counter so that you can completely empty the shelves you are working on. Second, vacuum out or dry wipe any food, then use a mild household cleaner to wipe them clean. Third, before putting everything back, check the dates and look at what you won't use and toss it.(We don't really want to re-gift that fruitcake)
Closets: First step, take everything out. Clean floor to cieling. Go through those never used coats and hats the kids have out grown or gone out of style. This is good time to match up all your gloves and boots and store them away. (Brighten someone elses day. Find a church or charity that will make good use of the coats, boots and gloves you won't use next year)
More next month...
Spring shows what God can do with a drab and dirty world.
