Greetings!
Monterey was a great time (the BRE booth crew seen above) and even though the focus was the Cobra marque this year, there was plenty of good Datsun fun as well, including the arrival of the Stainless Steel Carrot, Sylvia Wilkinson's classic book on BRE's pursuit of the Trans-Am championships in '71 and '72 (more info below). Thanks to all of you that stopped by!
August has now passed, we're well into Sept and Oct is around the corner. It's time to clean house and get ready for the holidays! We've been going through our inventory and have decided to clear out a few more items (see below). We also provide info on a couple of new events recently added to our schedule as well.

Join VARA at Las Vegas Motor Speedway Oct 5th-7th for their only out-of-California event this year, where ultimate Fall weather and ideal track conditions will host the event that effects class standings more than any other single event this year (points doubled). And while you're at it, stop by BRE's new shop in Henderson (12 miles east of the strip or 20 miles south of the speedway).

It's that time of year
It's car cover time!
 The surge of car cover orders we've gotten recently has reminded us how summer is coming to an end (how did that happen so quickly?).
With the addition of the Datsun roadster cover this year, we have all the bases covered from roadster, Z to the 510. Protect your precious here.

We have but three of Peter's Favorite jackets left after Monterey. The maker has discontinued what we think is the greatest jacket we've ever had. The reason is no doubt a sizing mishap. They are perfect in every way but the sizing runs large. We have two BRE jackets (BRE logo on front and back). The XSmall we have will fit a person that normally wears a Medium and the Small we have will fit a person that normally wears a Large (we kid you not).
 We also have one BRE 510 Trans-Am jacket left (BRE logo on back with 510 Trans-Am wreath on front). It's a 2XL so will fit a 3XL person. More details available here. |

You knew it had to happen... Peter Brock Day! City of Henderson honors Brock at annual car show
No doubt you've heard us say how much we've enjoyed it here in Henderson, NV and what a great car community it is. Well, the city is outdoing itself. A city proclamation will be declared on opening day of their annual car show this weekend, the Super Run (Sept 21-23), declaring it Peter Brock Day. How cool is that!?!
There will be a special Peter Brock Award that Brock will give to the car he likes the most, for whatever reason he likes it the most (-: Saturday there will be a Peter Brock autograph session from noon-2pm. Datzilla and Brock's Daytona Coupe will also be there. Stop by and say hello! |

Only a few left |  The Trans-Am shirts being discontinued are going fast... some of you even bought several at a time! There are still a few left, so don't miss out.
We are now out of Smalls and 3XLs. We have 3 youth sized shirts (fits the young Datsun fan who normally wears a 10-12) and 2 medium adult shirts. Then a few L, XL, and 2XL. They'll be gone before the holidays so don't wait, go here now (-: |

 We knew there would be a lot of logistics to take care of at the Monterey event but trying to locate where the delivery driver had unloaded the pallet of Stainless Steel Carrot books, direct from the printer, was unexpected. After many hours of looking throughout the Laguna Seca track, the search ended in success when Sylvia took off in a golf cart and her publisher on his bicycle, to check out the latest rumored location around 4pm Thu.
Weekend autograph sessions were scheduled with Sylvia, Championship driver John Morton and team manager Brock. As the first session began Friday, a wonderful surprise occurred when BRE fabricator George Boskoff and second BRE employee Joey Cavaglieri appeared. A photo was taken (standing L to R: John, George, Pete and Joey, while Sylvia (sitting) continued to work at autographing books). Two more chairs were quickly found and the stories started to fly while they all signed books.
 The Stainless Steel Carrot is a great addition to your collection, even if, or especially if, you have the original book from 1973. And it's a terrific gift!

| BRE Tribute Cars Worldwide
Latest BRE Z Tribute Car Lives in Birstein, Hessen, Germany

 We don't talk about BRE Tribute Cars much... they kind of speak for themselves (-: However, with the addition of this latest, beautiful BRE 240Z Tribute Car in Germany, we thought it was probably time to give them some recognition.
You may have seen a few BRE clones around, including David Cook's impressive BRE 240Z Tribute racer at Laguna last month. Via our Tribute Program, we get to see most of them (info on the program is here). And they are everywhere; the US of course, Australia and New Zealand (awesome Datsun communities in these two countries), Mexico, Canada, Japan (the stunning #68 BRE 510 below lives in Tokyo), and the locations go on and on.
 When we get a bit of available time, we will be creating a Tribute section on our website, posting images and city/country info (if approved by the owner) of these incredible Tribute cars for you to see.
And for a special treat, we recommend you check out this great video by "FattyMcRatty" racing the BRE Tribute car he created in the Forza 4 game. He's also a BRE Tribute Car owner, and the best treat of all comes at the end of the video. Enjoy!
