Save Energy and Money
Heating Tips
We have compiled some easy tips to save energy and money on your heating bill this winter:

  • When you are asleep or not at home, turn your thermostat back 10-15 degrees. A programmable thermostat can make it easy to set your temperature. You can save around 10% on your heating bill by doing this simple tip.
  • If you feel chilly, warm yourself first - put on a sweater or blanket - before heating the whole room or house.
  • Take advantage of the sun - Open curtains on the south-facing windows during the day to allow the sun to naturally heat your home, and then close them at night to reduce the chill your may feel from the cold windows.
  • Consider buying energy-efficient thermal liners and curtains to add insulation to your windows.
