Dear Subscriber,

Did You Know?

October 15th - 19th is  National Kinesiology Week

I am writing this letter as Thanksgiving approaches in Canada. It seems rather poignant that I am reflecting on all that has happened during the last 9-12 months

and noting what I am thankful for.

This last year has brought about a lot of changes with my business and my personal life. All of which have challenged me in different ways.

Thank you to all of our wonderful clients and colleagues who have supported Lifemoves in the last five years.

As Lifemoves transitions into our sixth year we are grateful to all of our clients who have followed us through our transitions. We are looking forward to forging ahead with new programs.

Please take a moment to reflect and find successes to celebrate and people to thank in your own lives.

Happy Thanksgiving,

Sincerely,

http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-s5VI80laqAc/UHC5N8FUwwI/AAAAAAAAAVk/hKYSMhJWmxY/s320/iStock_00002137736Tick.jpg   Lyme Disease is a chronic and debilitating illness which affects thousands of people each year. There has been much research into Lyme Disease and the best form of treatment. It is vital to keep active with any chronic illness, however many individuals with Lyme Disease are unsure how to exercise without aggravating their symptoms.  We recently had the opportunity to devise a therapeutic exercise program for someone with Chronic Lyme Disease with the major goal of improving daily energy which would enable this client to work for longer durations. As Kinesiologists we provide exercise therapy programs for clients with various kinds of illnesses and medical conditions.  Read More About Lyme Disease and Exercise

Camaraderie Prevails on Grouse Grind Mountain Run
by Alfred Ball
Alfred Finish Grouse Grind Mountain Run
Saturday September 22nd I participated in the 22nd Annual Grouse Grind Mountain Run (GGMR). This was also my fourth time entering this event. The weather was almost perfect for a Grind, slightly overcast and around 8C. It is the culmination of spring and summer training.  A client with a traumatic brain injury actually inspired me to get involved for the first time because it was an event that she participated in  despite her disability and movement challenges.

Race Day Strategy and Camaraderie

Racing is more than just the physical output on the day. It is also about the camaraderie that is developed between participants and competitors. Read More
