I hope you are enjoying the summer while staying active. 
 
We are trying a new format this month. Since Lifemoves has several contributes to our blogs and we don't want you to feel overwhelmed with information  each issue. Only a couple of articles in the newsletter with others posted on our blogs.

In this Issue: Have you seen people running barefoot or with shoes that wrap around your feet, mimic the foot but provide little more protection? Leah wonders if this is  a craze or if participants are crazy? For those who do the Grouse Grind on a regular basis I suggest six ways to break your time plateau. In our stretching tip discover how to get more from a stretch by varying the angle.

Barefoot Running: Craze or Crazy?

Barefoot running seems to be the new mania, but just how good is it for your body and is it for everyone? For those who have not heard of the concept, it is just how it sounds -- simply running with no shoes on or with thin-soled flexible shoes that mock natural foot mechanics. Barefoot running is different from wearing shoes in the sense that with no shoes on we tend to land on the balls of our feet, whereas with shoes, we tend to land on our heels.
