Thanks for registering!  You are one of the 1000 that will receive a t-shirt and a goody bag!  Whoo hooo! 

You will have an opportunity to pick your goody bag and t-shirt up before the race or the morning of the race.  We will keep you posted!

So, between now and April 19th, the only thing you really need to do is get outside and go for some walks or runs with your dogs! 

Oh, and you could think about recruiting some other runners/walkers/dogs! Encourage your friends and family to register - simply click here and forward the link!

Thanks Rocco!  My job for the 2009 Canine Classic is to be in charge of the teams!  I have lots of energy so that is a good role for me!

Did you sign up as a team?  If you didn't sign up but have decided that your group wants to be considered a team, that is no problem.  Here is what you do:

Email us with the following information:
Name of Team
Name of Team Members

We do hope that you will consider participating in the K9 Team Challenge this year!  It is easy - simply recruit your friends/family/co-workers and give yourself a great team name.  Then fundraise (we will help you with that part!) and win treats!
For example, the Top Fundraising Team and the Largest Team will both win a special tent in the Expo area, framed team photos, special t-shirts and a banner with their name on it.  And don't think the Top Fundraising Team is always the Largest Team - you would be surprised!

Here some important information:  You will be able to pick up the Cell Phone Caddy, Aluminum Water Bottle and K9 Baseball Hat on April 19th HOWEVER the other prizes will be ordered based on your fundraising on April 19th. 

We know it is a bit of a drag but in these tough economic times it is really important not to over order.  By doing the prizes this way we spend only what we need and that will really help!

Hi, I am new to the crew!  If you stop by the MESA office you might just meet me.  And I will definitely be at the Canine Classic!  Can't wait to meet you!

Here are some fun changes for this year:

The 5K and the 10K actually start in the same place (no more walking up the hill for the 5K!)

AND they finish in the same place - right in the middle of the Expo area!  It will be so cool!

Plus the 10K starts at 9:00 AM and the 5K starts at 9:30 AM.  It will make the Start and Finish more fun and less hectic!   I like that!

All is well and good with the dogs, but let's talk creature comforts!    The 2009 Canine Classic will have a great expo, some great food, and the beer from BJ's Brewery will be back!

And this year the 5K and 10K start in the same location but at different times!  Whoa - that will make life easier!

I will keep you posted on all these parts of the Canine Classic - the food, the hanging out - the relaxing stuff!
