Customer Spotlight:
Heartland Crossing
Jack Laurie Floors recently completed four custom tennis courts and two and a half basketball courts for Heartland Crossing in Mooresville, Indiana. The entire job was made up of 44,000 square feet of severely weathered and substantially cracked asphalt.
 To prep the area, the JL team checked for imperfections and either dug them out or smoothed them out. The existing surface was sanded and then powerwashed with a bleach solution to remove any remaining dirt and mildew. A combination of cement and acrylic products was applied to the cracks. Finally, acrylic surfacer was applied to fill in the cracks and create an entirely smooth surface.
To complete the project, two color coats of red and green silica were applied. Finally, the JL team laid out the game lines and striped the court.
All products used during this project were from DecoTurf, the official product of the US Open. The customer was very happy with the work and reported that the residents are utilizing the courts a lot more.
