Jack Laurie Group Acquires Infusion: New Company Becomes Jack Laurie Business Furniture
Cathy Droste Waggoner
 | As of February 19, 2010, the Jack Laurie name has been attached to something other than floors. Jack Laurie Business Furniture was formed by the unification of two long-time local companies-Jack Laurie Floors and Infusion. Jack Laurie Floors has been providing the highest-quality commercial and residential flooring to Fort Wayne and surrounding areas since 1950. Infusion, started in 1991 by Cathy Droste Waggoner, has provided the Fort Wayne area with the highest-quality business furniture products, along with certified furniture installations and hands-on project management services. Jack Laurie Business Furniture will specialize in commercial furnishings and space planning to create the most efficient work environments. Cathy Droste Waggoner and all of her staff at Infusion have moved to Jack Laurie Business Furniture. Together, the two businesses serve an overlapping customer base that will benefit from their collaboration. The new company's relationship with Knoll Furniture Systems, Office Furniture USA and many other top furniture manufacturers gives it tremendous flexibility to solve the furniture needs of its customers. "The new Jack Laurie Business Furniture offers customers more products and services, a larger array of project management services and greater cost savings than any other local furniture dealer," says John Laurie, CEO of Jack Laurie Group. "We are excited to add this new line of products and services to our offering." As a result of this acquisition and to lead the way for other future business acquisitions, the Jack Laurie Group has been created in order to reflect the fact that the company is now made up of Jack Laurie Commercial Floors, Jack Laurie Cleaning Services, Jack Laurie Home Floor Designs, Jack Laurie Business Furniture, United Flooring Inc. and BAR Flooring.
